Please don't implement Cure Nearsight, I would not know where to put it on my Quickbars.
Uthgard's community is what makes me Vehement.<br>

Granted, NS is way too much powerful. As pointed out, it's already an effective rupter, and any caster/support with a red NS icon displayed on his screen is turned into a sitting duck. For a long time.

That's the problem, it just stands too long, it's not the lack of cure. Not every healer/cleric/druid will get it. And not everyone who will have it will use it all the time. hence NS will remain powerful, in spite of the available cure.

Personally there's no way in hell I will spend so much points in mending in order to get cure NS, whether I'm Aug or Pac spec. There's too much at stake in both specs.

Nah they're not. It's just that many people are inept at playing a dps mage. Griselda does pretty good on a wizard. Zubasa does okay when he's grouped with 2 savages and a zerker to keep the opposing team busy, and a warrior to guard him. The only problem are high resist rates on Uthgard which is a problem for all mages, not just wizards.


In fact they are. The bolts are bugged, the dmg output is lower then have to. The resist rate are equal bad for every caster, there is no difference, as u said :)

Edit: but it's about cure NS and i don't wanna hijack the topic like archers :p

Agree that near sight is way too OP, if caster has used his purge and got nearsighted he can take his boxing gloves off and go sit on the audience.

I really like how the people seem to believe throwing a yes in this poll is going to give them cure NS.

You can purge nearsight to have a long immunity timer, to stop nearsighting you, you have to nearsight the nearsighter or kill him or rupt him.

If you look at the Poll for Old Realm Abilities they say yes to more gameplay, more diversity.

Implementing Cure NS is a costum change. Same people could ask tomorrow for costum changes like celerity for every body. Same people could destroy the thoughts of Old Realm Abilities (when they are implemented) and say we want to have this RA for every realm like it is in the New Realm Ability system.


We don't need more costum changes on Uthgard. Today this, tomorrow that, in the end you have a mixture of all versions of DAoC and noone knows what is like what, there is no balance at you think you might now create.


In your will to balance on your own (costumly) you destroy the balance.

I'm pro cure NS and if it will be implemented, i'll spec 40 Reju for it :twisted: .

But to discuss about customizing Stuff is like Speaking with a wall.

Because

- They wont implement things after 1.80(atm later 1.65)
- The thing to wish implemented, didn't change any RvR Situation
- Does not be a class ability.

Cure NS agrees with all 3 points so i think it will never be omplemented but i voted for Yes.

Some long Time ago i started a Topic to im plement Crowns for the crafters. We have Cloth Hats, why not Crowns for Chain etc.
The answer i get was: We dont need more customizig.

Crowns disagree with all 3 points so i didnt understand why. It change only the Optic and not all wear the same gear.

cure nearsight will be one more nerf to casters and especially versus tanks groups.

at the moment the best way to kill " SoS, AoG3, zerk mode, stun, assist be killed the stupid sorc that try to mezz in SoS in place of kiting back" is to root supporters, NS them and disease the tanks.

if the healers have access to cure NS, they self cure them NS and they can cure diseases on melee... and so cure NS makes disease useless vs mids that have 3 classes to cure it and NS is the best way to prevent it.

so vote NO ^^ (and the fact that my cabby and RM have red NS, that my wizard and SM are spe bomb and my cleric full buff...)

What's that you say, there's a cure for mez because it's a long term disable ? Same goes for NS, only there's no cure.

Yes, in that regard, NS is less like mez, and more like that other long term disable, root.

Mez disables melee and ranged classes, and has a cure.
NS disables ranged classes, and has no cure.
Root disables melee classes, and has no cure either.

Maybe it's just me, but I'm definitly seeing some kind of pattern there. :)

Btw Panach only Main Healer have acces to Cure NS that means Cleric/Healer/Druid and not more.

Melee classes that have a fully melee toolset have high resistance to CC overall. Melee hybrids who are likely to get rooted for 30+ seconds have other means than just their melee toolset. If they're rooted AND nearsighted, well, that's a problem and yet another valid reason to implement cure NS.
