@Salbei if one waits for a nice groupsetup. I am pretty sure 80% of the time u can log out or afk in TK. And not to mention people playing classes with 0utility or not matching to group like wizzards;). I have seen some wizzard in alb staying in TK for the whole online time begging people to group and getting ganged solo as soon as they step out of TK. Great fun to continue for these people.
In my eyes its the community that has the biggest impact on level50-RvR. Here some example: - You go out in perfect set groups and farm random-groups. randomgroup will probably log out. Instead exchange some chars to low rr low xp (bring in some twinks). Split groups. Make a group to fight not to pwn. ( For example i always log my 47 Theurg and try do RvR with him. And only if badly needed i log my 50 RR5 Sorc. On the one hand i push my low-twink on the other hand i first check situation and give less powerful enemies a better chance. Of course this is only possible if i have some people supporting things like this. Thanks FB/AoI ![]() - Group people. Yes its insane - give everyone a chance for group. Dont say i wait for my TS buddys. Give new players a chance to fight. Include them to your rvr. ( If u have only unexperienced players and you are afraid they dont assist. Just group 1 of them to get started. Do nice RvR . He does a mistake tell him how to improve. Group him again and again. He sure will learn and soon your small l33t community grows... If u invite more then 1 at once in your group they probably wont listen. Cuco suggested it once - and it worked. Saw alot beginners growing in teamplay and experience. And now UR is a serious enemy ![]() - Dont cry zerg / adders. Just try to think who u are playing against. Some people have no other chance then get RPs this way. And its RPs they need to do better RvR. In addition we dont have enough players for everyone to make a group. - If you see people fighting. Think twice before u add. Sometimes its ok. Sometimes its jsut results in loging off or in zergs. And yes i know this will maybe lower your RP/h or reduce splatter-gaming but maybe u get some more people to 50RvR ![]() Greetz Nes Last edited by jrhadden on Mar 24, 2008 13:55, edited 1 time in total.

Nesty the thing is: many low RRs got chances to participate in RvR , but they often carry problems with em. Perma-mezzbreaker, Non-assisters , or others who cant play their class, get kicked yes, but only if they do always wrong , allthough they should have learned it (told them how to play this , or whats that for strategy, or attack this one /rupt the other one etc.)
I myself dont have any problems with taking lows or unexperienced ones , but if they dont change their style of playing and/or dont -want- to learn the crucial things of RvR , i could become mad.. <img src="http://217.86.191.120:8080/sig.php?chars=Hjolnir;Attilah;Harris;Captain;Sarutobi;Das;Turntable">

I edited my post and added that problem. I guarantee it works. Just include 1 of those beginners at once. And tell him how to improve. It sure will work!
Sure Agramon sucks. But mapchange will not solve the community problem i mentioned above. Greetz Nes [x] NF Emain Ceterum censeo Carthaginem esse delendam Last edited by jrhadden on Mar 24, 2008 13:59, edited 1 time in total.

Teach them
![]() It shouldn´t be a problem to give tips ,strategies, help for misunderstandings. That´s the way how a nice community should work. |

It's not rocket sience, it's a game. And it's an old game, so many players don't even need to learn anything about classes they leveled and RvRed with for years, even if there was actually a lot to learn to start with.
They'll stop crying the instance you stop crying about low RR players spending a lot of their free time in Braemar.
The problem of high RR characters has probably been a bit exaggerated here so far. I think it has not so much to do with having no chance at low RR. I've been included in emain groups in my early lv40s already, and these groups still won fights against enemy groups. It's just that some want to play a relaxed game instead of being a 'pro' DAoC-athlete, and that just doesn't work in lv50 RvR anymore.
YES, and every active player can EASILY do Master Levels and farm artifacts. It's not really difficult either, and doesn't take that long really, so why again do we all prefer to play on a classic server here please ?
Funny idea, really, but, you know, I'm doing RvR every day already now, in Braemar. Without any SC at all. Even leveled my last Char from lv22 onwards just by RvR, with a lot of grey armor parts even. And it's been a lot of fun ![]()
See, the problem is, no matter if Battleground or lv50 RvR, it's both a huge waste of time. Nothing productive will come out of it. When the Server is switched off one day, you won't be any better off if you were lv50 rr13 than lv30 rr2. So unless you intend to pay me to play moving target for you, I'll just keep deciding in what way and how much of my time I'm wasting all by myself, thank you.
In this context, I can't help but mention: EvE Online - newbie tackler saves the day ![]() Yes, it might be a tried and tested game concept, there are still games ou there which are doing it better already now.
Well, some players really don't care about being a 'known' or '(un)famous' freeshard player, and thus refuse to invest all the time and work just to be a 'usual gamer' for the pros to look down upon. And that's the problem ever since 'organizing the fighters of your realm' started to mean organize exactly 8 fighters of your realm and then stop there, then scream at everyone else turning up that they're stupid adders and RP leechers and are just making the enemies log off. The problem here is that most RvR Pros really only want more victims to farm, and under no cicumstances more teammates to share with. Well, tough luck, but unless some players change their attitude and become realm leaders instead of RP-highscore hunters, players will continue to chose other alternatives, like Battlegrounds. |

i agree with weia
and i dont see any reason to participate in level 50 rvr as it is now. when emain was rvr zone it was always the same: you go around solo or as a duo and find inc after 10 to 60 minutes. after that they return with 2-3people. you get one more person and find a solo enemy. he thinks: "fu why are they coming with that many people" and returns with 5. if you get 5 people, they will come with 8 but if you fight 9vs8 you are the zerging realm and if the enemy is that kind to come out again they'll do with at least 2fgs. now with new zone you have to run 30min for inc and if you're lucky its not only one stealther or 5 casters camping keep so i prefer bgs for rvr. its best to have some action and for being challenged. i won't waste my RL time without having fun |

It's not that Braemar is more awesome, cool, more fair(yeah.. bonedancers) or whatever. It's just easy to level up for braemar and that makes it popular.
People get bored of toons for awhile and want a change. After seeing the grind to 50, they won't be in a hurry to plow through that again. |
|
lowering the rp-cap in braemar or turning off the /xp off is crap at all.
please think about the people who are working all day long, having (kind of ![]() think about those , who can play perhaps 1 hour a day, or every 2 days or whatelse. perhaps they dont want to spend this 1 hour with boring lvling, perhaps they just want to have fun after a day full of stress. let them have their fun in braemar. |

Hmm first of all .... it was not a bad analysis ,Weia ;P (but pls do not running all the time with flowers in your hand in Agramon , it irritates me somehow XD )
Then finally i can only hope that i see one of you in 50er area someday. ![]() Have fun |
