/emain was a bad idea from the start...

It keeps enemies and allies out of emain

If the enemy knows there are no enemies in emain , they wont come
.so the enemy knows they wont come cuz they dont come cuz the enemies dont come.
IF someone comes, they all come , wipe em, the enemies log out, no one in emain , you log out, the end..
Also, the minute you /emain and there are more than 3 enemies , you get a solo lvl 50 rushing in lvl groups for sure ... Keeps the lvl groups out of emain...
No lvl groups, no enemies, no friends killing the enemies, no enemies killing friends killing the enemies ... no RvR

/emain is EV0L

It rips the Roleplay out of the game, if you want to know if theres something in emain , go look for yourself you lazy asses :D

Down with /emain !! :D

Also , this is English part of the forum , just add the same topic to the German section , or just post a link to it

This option is on the table for a week now. We will see what the final decision will be.

what about guildchat, allychat ... u think no one write: hey there are a fg enemies in emain!" ?

Would be better without /emain. because otherwise the map is too big and the groups run in circle and miss each other the whole time

The odds are for a map change. Prepare for one keep. But especially then I dont want to hear the zerg argument. To make high RvR attractive, players must find enemys faster - thats all. So: smaller map, one keep, 4 towers. Its in the queue. If population in that map explodes we can think about more options but for now it will be that way most propably.

I think that we all have to write in the languge you can. If somebody can't speak english, what is he supposed to do? Shut up?
If somebody can speak diffrent languages why not translate it into other languages, that everybody has the chance to understand so nobody is excluded.

This is an international Server so why not speak diffrent languages? Has English an higher rank than Frensh or German just because you can learned easierly?

To the emain - Button:

I think that it will probably will not keep people in emain macha. Even more it's just a safty cap of levler and I will not go to emain if there is a keep message - sorry :/
That's my opionion on it but if it really works, I will congratulate you :)

(I don't speak frensh very good so I even don't try it now ;-) )
and by the way - bluethryd: Zerg is an German word isn't it? ^^

EDIT:

http://en.daocpedia.eu/index.php/Zerg

But I think there are many ways how to interpret it.

I think its good that the command is out
so there is a reason to search for enemmies >_<

and about zerg: not it isn't a german word
it comes from the Zerg afaik
the funny alien race in starcraft
which is based on mass afaik
but pls correct me if I am wrong

The reason for it can already be found in this very thread: In the past even threads that were started in English got German replies which lead to more and more German replies which couldn't be understood by those who started the topic. We are providing different language parts in the forum - and this is not just for fun. Since Uthgard still counts as international server the General part of the forum is (and will stay) English-only! If you want to have a German discussion than do so in Deutsche Foren. If you like it or not, English still is the most commonly used and understood language. Sure - there will be German, French, Italian, whatever..., people who are not able to write or read it but as experience shows this is only a minor number. So, no need for discussion on this. Now, please, back to topic. Thanks!
Happy hunting!

there's only one way...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zerg
Due to the Zerg's unique use of overwhelming numbers of relatively weak units, rather than smaller numbers of stronger units, the term "to Zerg", (verb) "Zerg Rush" or "Zerging" is the act of using mass numbers to achieve an objective. It has become widely accepted in a variety of other games, including Planetside, Warcraft III, World of Warcraft, Dark Age of Camelot, and other multiplayer games.

as for the /emain command, glad to see the back of it.
smaller map for emain? it wouldn't hurt.

on a little side note, maybe df could be linked to all keeps (if emain changed to a one-keep map there will be 4 keeps ingame) the realm that controls most gets df, but just an idea :)

Well... has I've it read b4...

If they change the map to a smaller one I do think the command /emain should be disabled.

Like Akash said give a command to a Guard only with 3 options.
No one in emain
Someone roaming
Some Grps

Should be curious to see that command in BG's thou.
Since we cant see whos there knocking at the door now.. :)

Regards.

on emain you can at least see keep/tower in fire on /rw but in bg you have no way to know if enemies around or even attacking keep...

i think smthg must be done

Yesterday evening we had 35 player in Emain and that is way better than we had it a long time before. The /emain command is dead and will never come again. Its especially wrong from a rpg point of view.
