Played rr11 Bard lately and i m for sure worse than our current one with rr4-5. Droped SoS2 AM2 MoC3 if needed, fights were a lot easier
So telling ppl there is no difference if you are just "skilled" enough is bullshit. Ppl tend to loose their memory how they gained their RR (and yes I added till RR7 haha, thats a legit way to gain it if you ask me afterwards all ppl who flamed you before will invite you anyway since they know how important rr is and will always prefere you over a none adding but stucked till eternity random rr4 char)

Prime had a RR9 Healer when they were running in emain, making things so much easier. Especially as a caster grp with bof3/di3. And they entered emain with like rr5 as well farmed the first few ranks in odins.
So you see even as a SET grp it is hard to compete in emain right from start.
As a PuG there is no way to be competitive vs other grps. Since the other grps improved during the last 1-2 years a lot. No offense to grps 2years and more ago

who are you again ? lol anything is possible and the fact that u think rr = wins is just retarded. not just me thats proven u wrong, try every good player on uthgard. i know many ppl who have showcased their skills in grp play since rr4+ and u wanna fix ur memory since prime came to emain many times making next to no rps but always learning and trying new things long before xacragina joined them, the fact they went odins for some easier / closer fights is natural especialy when team ingo + requiem were active primetime. and tbh vurtaly all class's require rr6-rr7l5 for their essentials even healers imo and thats by far not even close to high rr in my books.

fact is by the time u fight the elite grps enough times to understand and develope counter tactics and get the odds in ur favour u've gained some rr, but it seems alot of ppl see their gameplay improvements as a result of rr gain and not activly learning how to play. ofc ra dumping makes a difference and only a few class's can even do it. alot of class's are passive specced apart from some support as u rightly say but as i said they already have their essentials at a reasonable rr and there is no such thing as an i win button, i personaly never lost a fight purely coz the bard was retarded enough to hit moc, sos + aom at the same time, all i noticed was things were hard to kill for a grand total of 1 minute. woopydooo

think outside the box, compare x2 8man grps who are brand new and start with the same skill level. 1 grp opts to gain rr via odins ( killing taskers, other lowbie random pugs, solo'ers ) the other grp only does active rvr in emain fighting whats considered the best on uthgard to date. in the same length of time.... lets say 1 month.... the grp who prefered the easy way in odins has a higher rp income than the grp willing to fight the elite but when it came down to performance of the grp id put my money on grp 2 everytime ( grp 100% rvr in emain )

yeah ppl realy need to "learn" anything about daoc a 11 years old game lol
you maybe have to adapt to the current patch lvl on uth but that realy takes like 2-3 evening of 8vs8
everything else here is the pure grind to a certain rr lvl so you got enough toys to compete with the high rr grps ...
