As probably anyone knows, Midgard is by far the quickest realm in opening keep doors. This can be attributed to the typical Midgard RvR group - allowing more tanks than e.g. Albion. More important, however, is that in Midgard every character can use 2-hand weapons and Healers have Celerity.

How about re-enabling positional styles against doors including proc styles of Reaver and Valewalker? Midgard doesn't have this ability. In my opinion this would be an easy-to-implement change allowing Albion and Hibernia to open keep doors a little bit quicker. There would be no disadvantage for Midgard - they would still be the quickest realm.

Everyone should understand that the current situation is not too fair.


hmm maybe make dors on lvl 40 or so that they can resist some styles and can find pöse stealther that want to pa the door. :roll:

Offtopic: nur so das heulen, dass es zu viel rumgeflame gibt is eigentlich viel mehr spammen, weil es auch jeder weiß das man es nicht machen soll, so das der Nutzen = 0 ist oder :roll: :?:

To be honest, i have no Idea how Keep Doors are coded, so i realy cant say how to make them work different from how they work now.

Its just my personal opinion (and this time i even seem to agree with Sethor), that at the Moment Keep doors are very fast and easy to take down with a good melee group - AND i think, if the doors were a lot harder and Rams introduced and needed to open the doors in a reasonable amount of time, it would be fair for all groups, since they can all carry and use Rams.

Why not give Hib mentalist a very good lvl 50 dps enchantment and Alb (dont play alb so whatever caster is) give same abilitie

But give mid none such a spell

only a ideea so if it stupid dont be mean :P

Not a good idea, because Hibs and Albs dont need an unfair advantage.

If things would work like in live, with hard door, spells able to hit doors and Rams breaking through doors a lot faster than groups with no Rams, there would be no problem.

If midgard opens up a door quicker than other realms, its normal
They ARE the melee realm arent they ?

Hibernia is the caster realm and Albion is the pure realm

Mids just wack it
Hibs just nuke it
Albs need a pretty balanced group, cuz about the *pure* realm, i mean we got a cleric, the healer, all it does is heal and buff, and if we fight hibernia and someone shouts : kill the healer first, we have to whack everything , cuz to a new players point of vieuw, EVERY hib class can heal :) And the mids, well, classes that can heal there, got some nasty defense spells and stuff

The only thing cleris have is PBAE mezz wich is useless cuz its smite spec, and smite has been nerfed SERIOUSLY so noone specs it ...
And about the dps selfbuff, it doesnt help alot when getting humped by grey con pets, believe me

Now back to topic (woops ^^)

Its fine with me that Midgard opens doors a little faster, as long as the difference isnt huge
The real problem is Keeps getting captured too quickly and easy, but , thats just my opinion

Keep doors need to be opened by rams not by chracters weapon...
What does it mean to the damage weapons can do?
What does it mean to the doors strength?
What does it mean to the time its needed to open a door?
What does it mean to the Rp's given by raidin a tower or keep?

This list could have more points but thats not the fact. I just want to give U
chance to think about and find out yourself :wink:

forget the "caster""melee" etc-realm bullshit please. every realm is balanced on fighters/casters more or less, but mid got celerity + every fighter can wield 2h weapons.thats why,not the "melee-realm" crap.

ah just imagine a character digging through the wood with his weapon - should work, too, you just have to be patient ;) and i'm not sure if i like the idea of keep-camping which will surely start as soon as one needs lots of time to open one.

captured too quickly? it's already so boring to take it, you need at least 1 hour to raid the 3 keeps if no enemies.

if you would need more i think nobody we ll try to take the keeps to help realm mates...

pana,its about using siegeweapons,so every realm could open the doors in the same time,no more "mid capture a keep in 5 minutes maximum,alb needs 20" . :)

I agree with Deotail that rams should be used more often

I myself have 96 siegecraft atm (I can get pretty bored) but the main problem with rams is:


RAM ROOTING

And thats probably why noone uses rams or trebus orso

The doors should be stronger in my opinion, its kinda unrealistic to open a door by stabbing it with a dagger, no ?

you have no problem with trolls who make fireballs, but you can't imagine a guy opening door with wapons? ^^
