It seems the staff wants to make a warmap on their own, by using the code of their former NF warmap.
That's okay for me as long as the datasource-files for my warmap stay online ^^
But of course this comes a bit late and there are things that Uthgard needs more urgent than another warmap. But hopefully the dev of that warmap is another person than the dev that does bugfixes.

once again the staff shows that they are not willing to include the community into their work... not at all, your warmap looks far better than theirs. It has always been like that, staff leeching ideas of the community, the community tells them how to do it right, and they do it their way, which comes out as a worse than the suggested one most of the time. (All of the time in terms of RvR changes)

And once again the community does nothing but complain.

:) Nothing has changed from your side of the table either.

But its not understandable why you (staff) create a new one.
This one looks really better and its finish! so why create a new one?

We can assure our own will be available.

We can't guarantee Rectors will be available.

Also saying a finished site looks better than an unfinished site is really just: :wall:

what should i change? i spend almost 4 years (1 year waiting for visur) on this server being pretty much active all of those 4 years, NONE of my and alot of others suggestions, even those that had alot feedback have ever passed staffs standards. your evolving the server into a direction SINCE YEARS that was never mine or that of alot of others. the reason that the population is still rising is the fact that this server exists, and nothing more. People come here cause they want to play daoc, not because they love uthgard.

so u suggest us to complain less? include us into your work then and accept suggestions by more experienced players of the community that u will never find in your little staff crew.

Im here for longer... Even though ive been abselt for about 4 years maybe, due to different reasons.

Still same here... Having a good idea about daoc after all that time, beeing quite good with numbers, formulas etc, my opinion almost never has been good enough for anyone, what might be the reason here?

Better in terms of sharper. The images you (dunno who of the staff ^^) use looking blurred.

But to the "guarantee to avialable..", I thought Rector gave the staff the code/script/what ever of his own warmap?
If yes ... I still cant understand why you put work into a new one ^^

You have to understand the community, too. You've allways too less Devs for all that bugfixes.
And now a Dev (I think its a Dev) works on senseless (senseless cause we dont know why/cant understand it) work in our eyes.

I'm still using yours. :D
[3:10pm] <myrmidon^> You have to be a c*** to be awesome at daoc
[3:10pm] <myrmidon^> that's what I learnt
[3:11pm] <Frosty_> then why does austerim suck
lordgriffon wrote:Oh by the way... ever seen a group of 8 smite clerics? Or play against a group like that? I have. Absolute devastation. The group that runs up against them can't kill them fast enough because smite clerics have sooooooo many tools at their disposal combined with decent ranged damage with 8 of them dudes doing it!

I agree with the last few posters. The staff warmap looks like crap. The use of large red, green and blue circles for the portal keeps is a horrible idea, you don't show all the keeps on the map and the map is blurry.

The map Rector originally posted is superior in every way possible to the map the staff is using.

@MT-Pear as said: We work on a map because we can't guarantee rectors being available.

now i thought all the time rector gave you the rights to copy the whole code on the herald? donate=give full rights?

this can have only one reason: you are working on "keep status" for the ingame warmap :D
Right? ;P
