Emain is a great work and it have a lot of advantages, xp bonus/level groups, tactics...etc. But for me it's too big atm, you need a lot of time to take all keeps and meet enemys.

Stupid example: if u are in a pub of 200 m with 50 ppl the sensation it's sad, looks empty but if u are in a pub of 100 m with 50 ppl looks full and the funnier i think...

Eniway i'm agree, we should test a smaller RvR place, perhaps only 2 keeps in emain will be enough.

pd: thx for translations to english

Either you take a BG or you close Dun Bolg, then the ppl will come back.
But with a BG you would have solorunning ppl and with closed Dun Bolg you would have more ppl joining the RvR, but Zerg.

I agree with Sethor. Realm powers do always change. Someone is always in advantage or disadvantaged. Closing down the Battlegrounds, as it was suggested in the past, is also no solution because it would surely enable new players to quit before they get level 50.

Enhancing the keeps always brings a new tactical element on stage. Daoc is not Counterstrike folks. Its about Realm vs. Realm and also about keep combat. There is no sense in it if you can take down keeps easily. I dunno if the old claim system is still active, but I guess changing to guild claims as it is on live would be the best thing to do. Inclaimed keeps cannot be upgraded f.e. so a guild has to claim. A guild can also only own one keep at a time ;)

A simple comment on switching towards a bg: Dumbest. Idea. Ever.

This would ruin all tatical elements because of the zerg. It would take alternatives for small rvr, would rape the emain exp bonus system and ****** on the torutred corpse of the rest of the bonus system. If you want incs you have to go thinking. If you want Arpees you need to think even more. Uthgard has low RP ratings so far I think this is good, because farming Arpees is not easy and there are still things to achieve. Would you like a shard where you could get RR5 within a week? Do you cheat when you play single player games to spoil it up? No kids, games are intended to be diffucult some time and easier another time.

So goddammit, quit whining like dumb morons and do something for your realm. If RvR in your realm is not working you should goddammit not harass the staff. Take a look at your realm and try to analyze what is wrong. Sure, you can ask any time but threads like this one wont solve anything. Its a realm game, its a social game so you also have to ask yourself "what can I do to make my realm work better" instead of "how can I harass the staff so I can increase my Arpees"

So much said. I hope someone is going to close down this thread soon. As far as I know the staff doenst intend to move the rvr one inch towards a battleground.

@mfassben - To recognize ironicism is an intellectual achievement :P
Maybe we should talk a more lyric like way ....

Im an Alb and dont like Emain
Oh thee Mids let us cry tears like rain
Oh lord forgive me I am gay
Because im a paladin people say

Oh little Gerbald is a whore
Licking his nipples nobody to bore
Him thinking Presto is using bad bad word
His posterior driven by Paladins begins to hurt

All out of thee common lands
Mine has the strongest hands
Midgard is the best ya know
I say good day and leave with a /bow

..........

language enough ? xD

O.O sorry to say sethor, but this one of the most pointless posts I have ever seen

IMHO the big boy RvR shouldn't be battleground, yeah, bg is fun, but it's almost no brain

So what why do players want no-brainer bg RvR for the big characters?

Two words: Arpee addiction

Sometimes a bit of swearing and irony is the right thing to get to the point of the matter. Also I'am unable to express how much the battleground idea sucks in an "appropriate behavoir". But to tell you the truth... swearing is the appropriate behavior for such an idea ;)

Nuff said against bg's for lower chars. It's good to get the first expiriences and a hell of fun if you want to do something different from killing monsters. Anyway, a changes in RvR discussion should not be held under the context "my realm can't do a thing, please help us"

Maybe there are structual problems but hey.. does a government go back to despotism if democracy sucks once in a while? I dun' think so. Try to improve the situation but don't destroy. There are enough good things about the current situation. Just remember the time before there was any exp bonus in Emain ;)

PS: Sethor you whore, get down on your knees ;)

If despotism brings more meat on the table than democracy, ppl will favor it.

When BGs bring more fun than frontiers, ppl will favor it, too..

Problem here is: Alb has no brain, but many ppl, so of course they want BGs, there they could perhaps have some illusion of success.

But the whole discussion is pointless. If anyone wants to play in a BG he has the possibility to do it. Let Emain to the Mids, they earned it.
