1 of them was half afk, 1 of them didnt even had a template and the last one had about 20% life left. So wow ranger is so op. Yes, spiritmasters are more op because of the uthgard randomness when it comes to the intercept rate

Randomness? Nah, its the fact that Uthgard is the most incorrect version of DAOC you can find in the world today. Nearly every aspect of this game on Uthgard is incorrect, mismanaged, mismatched, custom coded, fumbled, coded wrong, mistakenly screwed up and left that way or purposely not implemented.

Actually people of importance did already grats me ingame. So there is no need for a topic in this forum which is more and more full of Seyha's. Maybe next time dont be afk without your camouflage directly at the AMG or at least try to fight and not just dump your rr5 ra and hope that someone will do that part for you. (Hint: There are good Hunters too!)

The point I dont get at all is your crusade against rangers everytime it is possible. Seems like your are mad that you cant beat a specific class no matter what how hard you try OR you are mad about that your rolled a hunter and not a ranger. And now it is against your pride to roll a so called OP class.

Yes, ranger is strong but the same goes for reavers, assassins, valewalkers, wardens and some more other classes. Too many are great and strong but with visibles classes you have a much harder time than with stealthers, especially with the current uthgard rvr state and player attidude.

So coming back to your original flame: Yes, I think I have earned my title. High realmrank means most of the time much play time and I think I play my class decent for the most of the time. And yes, not everyone can be a proud and honourable hunter. Helping out your random viper3 sb that couldnt kill a non camping rr4 animist.

Of course. I never claimed to be one. Celad, Laya, Madinaa, Flechabus, Lancera, Ambush, Minita--there are too many good Hunter players to mention.

What I have done is taken the gimpest stealth class on the server, and developed very simple techniques for killing any assassin or caster regardless of their RR. Anyone could have done what I did. I've basically taken Nestral's Hunter setup and developed it a bit further (although Nestral is a better player than I'll ever be). It works, and regardless of how much you love a certain Hunter that went inactive at RR6 almost 2 years ago I think it's the most effective way to play my class.

What's it like playing a Ranger? Ice Storm -> Tempest ad infinitum. Maybe throw in a Crit Shot if you get bored or meet something really tough, and drop your cheap-shot RR5 when things don't go your way. Brilliant. wtg. gg and gl.

So what styles should a ranger use? taunt spam all the way? I have been sniper for half a year but I dont like the current state of the archery on that server. There are too many things that are bugged and I have to admit that Tzaaaa, Pil and other snipers do a good job.

I know how to kite for sure. Maybe try your luck on a char that faces spiritmaster. I have one and no other class can easily wipe out 4 assassins at once by spamming one button, not even the bonedancer.

PS: Good Hunters are: Exaria, Laya, Gramo and maybe Nestral (he was better with his other classes and did kite a little bit too much and in the end nobody got rps )

First off I dont play a ranger and I wont ever play one on Uthgard, I dont even find them that strong of a class, they are a lot better than scouts and hunters yes but they are not impossible to kill. In fact the biggest problem with rangers is attempting to find one to fight solo, for the most part everytime i fight a ranger its only a few seconds before a few more rangers or nightshades jump in and RA dump to kill a solo, most of the time the adds dont attempt to PA or use bow just hop in and anytimer spam. And the rr5 is annoying but again mostly just because 90% of hib stealthers group, solo most classes you could dot charge or rupt them before they could restealth. Maybe i dont find them OP because i play a reaver but there are bigger problems with rangers than their rr5 and it has to do with the number of them you have to fight at one time.

Currently Rangers got a bad rap, even though its all based on no proof at all, just QQ wines like yours. That is why no one would say gratz. But if its an assasin hitting rr11, everyone will say gratz. Because you know killing with an assaisn is very difficult. I mean watching some player made videos from uthgard of assasins, and killing any target with more then half of there life left, and they dont use IP like rangers have to. But if a ranger kills an assaisn, everything in the world has to stop and take notice at that lol.

If you think rangers are OP, then make one and find the proof that shows there is valid bugs. Ranger is no diffrent then a NS, same damage tables and health, only less evade, lower delve styles, bow and no stealth styles, no poison, higher armor and so on. If a ranger can hit hard, there is no reason why a NS isnt also, but yet only rangers are focused on. And all that is because many have the impression that archers are suppose to be weak in bow and weak in melee. If the hunter or scout was doing better, with good players like ronia, then id bet this would be about scout/hunter QQing and pointing out what is too strong with them. Maybe there is bugs that are holding back the hunter, like there pet utility, or bow damage and how scouts depend more on bow. Instead of breaking rangers down to scout/hunter level , why not spend the time to get yours fixed. Put in the time and work to get the proof and so on. Now it may take forever to get fixed, as all bugs seem to be, when it comes to archers. But if the ranger QQ wasnt taking up all the attation, it would be more likely other bugs would finaly be looked at.

This thread needs to be closed, its based on no facts, just a QQ about not getting something as good ( when i say that , i mean they are just looking at the positives of this RR5, not the fact it disarms for 15sec, has a high varience and so on ). And after the revamp, this issue will not even matter. This thread was just made to vent about rangers, thats it.

either those 5 players were afk, didnt react or ronia plays his ranger very well , or yes ,.. it must be the class thats so damn OP,... ^^
