will this be possible again with 1.69?
no, this is a "custom bugfix" the staff has made.. this was done even before it was done on live (just to make the timeline clear as some people don't seem to understand this: ) first: Live + uth: Pets follow players in stealth second: Uth: Pets don't follow players in stealth third: Live: pets don't follow players in stealth
This is incorrect Nixian.
Hunter gets an ability called "call of the Hounds" which allows Hunter pet (not chamred ones!) to follow and attack (reveal) other Stealthers.
Obviously, its not implement on Uthgard and never will be
Anyway, nice vids. I wanna play a hunter now

Not quite. If a realm-mate is killed (and does not release) you can use Calll of the Hounds. It summons a group of dogs that move slowly towards your realm-mates killer (if he is still in the area), but the dogs not attack and they do not uncover the stealther.
If they get near the enemy stealther they will bark.
Yes, this ability is as lame as it sounds and from what I remember most Hunter never bothered to use it.

Which is unfortunate because this 'bug' was what gave the Hunter a unique advantage in the stealth war. Scouts had shield, Rangers were just good over-all, and the Hunter had a stealth-tracking pet.

Well if Uth staff is keen on claiming to out beat Mythic in fixing obvious bugs with a custom change (I thought they we're against custom changes /ponder) then why can't they go further in this and make it good once and for all!
Make hunter pets like they were and give some utility to the hunter back, and only the hunter pet (I sincerely doubt a spirit or simularicum can sniff out his ennemies like a wolf). This will be the edge in battle for hunters like shield/dualwield is for the other archer classes.

Every pet could track stealthers on the old days, it's pretty sure...
