Seems my post on Jamt in the zerg thread sparked something ;p
I'll defo try and get a group out for this from our guild, most of us are just hitting 50 and many of them like me last played back in around 2003-ish so need some good 8v8 practice. Hopefully we'll have enough online as we have many US players and may have to squeeze in a few sub 50s but fingers crossed we'll be there with what we have online. Very sub-optimal usually for us group setup wise but hopefully there will be other lower RR sub-optimal groups to fight

Emotes are fine, as long as they are respectful imo, i always give a /bow if able.

Edit: And i agree with some of the above posts wrt it being too artificial ie heading out 2 at a time...but at the same time i've met some very solid experienced alb and mids groups and ideally i'd like to fight people around our level for some decent practice ;p I say just head out whenever, doesn't have to be bang on the starting time either but a guideline for when you can expect to find action.
And hopefully this could spill over onto other days Saturday being good for us with all the us based players we have.


Edit 2: Ugg just noticed it's in 2 weeks time? meh just start it tonight or tomorrow night ;p no need for a 2 week wait when people want to 8v8 now ;p

Why wouldn't Odins be possible though? Most respected 8v8 teams leave solos alone. KT, Rare, GdRW do anyway and maybe I can get TC to do so too one day, bloody rp whores .
Oh I'd prefer not having three-ways, it's mostly just free rps for the 3rd realm.

I'll be glad to join in if I'm at home and if I can find a group.

Well first of all the rules have been alterd a bit already (will change OP after this reply).

But in relation with your question, it depends, if you are planning to fight 5vs8 then there is no problem I geuss.
Not saying that a 4+ group couldn't be mistaken for a group willing to participate in this event and get attacked by a fg!

Any group with less then 4players will probabley be left alone like the solo's will be, cause most guilds that are willing join this event already seem reluctant to roll solo's anyhow.

I think GdRW will be joining.

And I think Jamt is big enough to handle the participating Groups, as long the groups spread around and don´t run mainroutes only. The only Problem could be the aggro Mobs around then... Well we´ll see

2or3 replies already that the date is to far into the future, so I'll bring the date back to next week friday. The first day not in this weekend nor on a week day. (considders friday evening as part of the weekend)

Some questions:
If i get this right a group can stay in the zone until they get defeatet? So it would be possible for one grp beeing the first and stay until the end?
- Would lead to grps hiding until all RA's are up again, making waiting time for grps on the list longer.

How you plan to send in the new grps?
They have to start from svasud/theyr pk?

And what about if one grp wins theyr 8vs8 quick, locates another 8vs8, are they are allowed stand beside it and watch and kill the winning grp as soon as the fight is over?
- would not be in the spirit of 8vs8, but more near to reality of how 8vs8 looks like

Why make it so complicated? Just do like in Emain, run around till you meet a grp, fight, rebuff and continue. If you see two groups fighting, run past it and look for another. As long as you have like 2 minutes to rebuff and regain power a bit it sounds fair to me.

So a part of your question has become unneeded

But to answer the viewing of fights and then kill the remainders, well I geuss it will happen, loose from me typing it as forbidden or not.
Not to mention it would be incorrect in some way to let the remainders rezz up their group and continue on.
(eg. hibs group would stay in the zone always due too bard chickening out, not ment as insult, would do the same if I could with skald.)

And I'm geussing it would be against the rules too, not completly sure about that but there has been a ban on people, so I've read, for rezzing people in an event for RP farming reasons.

our guild gonna try to build fg too. hope we will manage since we have some ppl missing lately

3groups per realm now, making 9 groups in total, pretty nice start I geuss.

Anyone interested in building up a random Group in Mid? My Guild is too inactive to build up a 8Man, but i would like to participate too.
