Pros and cons of both archers and assasins. However, viper existed and was passive while PD without legendary weapons not sure if that ever existed
![]() Ranger rr5 was purgeable until patch 1.71! Both classes are strong, but you can't deny when its said all these people here say rangers r OP and then try them and quit when if you look at the top 50 page for rangers they have significantly more higher rrs (rr11, rr10) and overall rr than infi so I assume not all of them quit and say its not a good class:) Perhaps at higher rr things get balanced but if you are a low rr assasin and/or dont run af buff you can get 2-3 shot by most rr5 rangers and if that doesnt work they can finish you off with rr5. Plus yah assasins can kill almost anything but if purge isnt up they can eaisly be killed by any class as they r squishy as f. Alb 50 thrust = 5 second evade stun, hibs 25 spec for same stun or 18 cd for 4 second stun. Mid LA I think is 39 spec for 7 second 2 chain stun. Much later alb styles got some love and still yet to see any evidence ranger/ns ever got side stun except for people's recollections and if they did on live most believed this to be a bugged never fixed by mythic. Scouts sorry you just got pooped on by this patch level same bow speed as ranger no buffs and and are supposed to have 100 more range than a ranger but not sure if this is even applied here as been told all archers have the same range here. Life always seems greener on the other side, but if rangers got enough enemy assasins out to kill then there are happy. Plus correct me if I am wrong but in classic daoc archers were not intended to solely kill assasins as they were not at a huge advantage and later on this was revamped. |

When viper was passive on live main tanks had 3-4 thousand hitpoints buffed.
In 1.69 Viper was NS only and 1 use per 30 minutes. Although it effected all poisons not just dot. The only live server I know of with PD and no legendary weapons was the fake classic servers they made but even then mids could get a cold damage weapon in SI. Also that server was an extra server. the game wasn't designed around its balance and PD was considered broken on it, even with the cold SI legendary. If uthgard wanted to balance PD and Viper in their curent form, we would need everyone to always be at buffed HP +300, and have access to legendary weapons. That clearly won't be happening so it seems most likely that those abilities will simply remain imbalanced. At least they have company. |

regarding viper: on live it got nerfed to bleeding styles only. check out the latest patchnotes. even in the right setting the staff realized that viper is too strong. thats like a final call for uthgard staff to adjust it as well. + dot poision cannot be reapplied bfeore the first dot fades. i'd love to see that fix coming to amg.

First of all thats an Pentagon Patch atm, so its not online yet. Then you got no spellpierce+Magic dmg etc on uthgard.
Complaining about something that was Part of the Game for over 10 years and will MAYBE be changed on live is kinda pointless. Especially when they got a New poison on live for a while that increases the stealther dmg .. |

Celteen makes a very valid point. Its not just PD or Viper, its many RA's that have imbalances due to non ToA bonuses here.

we will never find a solution for this problem unless we get
a.) old RA´s b.) toa(cata) stats we wont get both, same as we wont get one of both. in the end can just find an ´´custom solution´´ but wait i forgot... we wont get.. its not livelike! i dont want to say u are wrong about this things, i just want to say that your opinions in it are totally worthless and wasted time on this server, thanks for your time. |

charge + sos without speedwarp = rofltomato pd without leg-weapons charge without bodyguard det without +%spellduration all those RA's (that are designed WITH ToA) without ToA AND telling it is "livelike" is just a big scam |

This! Uthgard some times ago got a big chance to really fix this situation implementing old ra's but stop'ed for miss informations and no chance to test on live. Even if i understand, i think is by far better, with Uthgard settings, old ra's working at 40% than new ra's at 80% ... and don't forget the feel of real old daoc classic ... We are playing custom anyway ... stop this gameplay never existed on live ... is w/out any sense ... ---------- UTHGARD 1.0 ------------

pretty sure players are getting high rr fast from playing alot, not that they are just imbalanced(unless you're a ranger)
