although it will get lost in the 17 pages of posts, on live in old frontiers, a lvl 10 keep spawned a corpse summoner. this allowed you to release to the keep. This was extremely beneficial if an attacking realm could hold a keep long enough to let it upgrade to 10.

from patch notes 1.55:

Realm v. Realm - Frontier Keeps

Keep Lords - At low health, the Keep lords will now summon help from the courtyard and the new "personal guard" spawned at keep upgrade level 8. Given their newfound confidence in their allies, keep lords will no longer use their anti-bladeturn abilities.

- When a keep is upgraded to level 8 - 4 additional Keep Guards will spawn near the lord room.

- If you take over an enemy's keep and that realm has at least one of your relics, if you upgrade the keep to level 10 it will spawn a corpse summoner NPC. If you die in PvP and type /transfercorpse "keep name" without the quotes your corpse will transfer to that keep, although you will still need to be resurrected once you get there. Note that enemy players can kill this NPC and if they do so, the /transfercorpse command will be unavailable to you for that keep until he respawns (in one hour).

thank you for this post I have actually been looking for information like this the last couple weeks. I will make sure to post this in the right thread on the PC forums.
I also think the corpse summoner would take care of the portal issue for the hibs to emain without having to do anything additional like a custom fix for them.

Nice pic

but the best thing is the mids got door 2 down but we defeated them inside the tower and it was a great fight that lasted 10+ mins we had 34 in bg with some not in bg so we maybe had around 40-45 albs against 70 mids attacking.

big big fun.

cheers to the mids and especially all the albs that came to defend, this is what DAoC and RvR is all about.

Cruell: Corpse summoner was only if an enemy realm held your relic (and only in their frontier). It was designed to give you a beachhead somewhere else. It wouldn't help hibs get to e-main without some custom solution.

Wenn man Renaris mit 70 zur Primetime nicht schafft, kommt man als Besorger halt um kurz nach 01:00 nachts und holt es sich ohne Gegenwehr :roll:

According to IRC, Midgard is the straw that stirs Uthgard's drink. Without them RvR would be completely dead. :oops:

aye and I wasnt going to say anything about it until posted by the staff. :grin:

But I am most interested in the first part of his post about the level 8 keeps getting a personal guard for the lord and the lord calling for help when under attack. This was something i was looking for to add to my observations about guard pops. Which I still havent found any solid information to answer you with. But this information is important also.

The corpse summoner idea I feel is a option that with a little minor adjustment can work for hibernia instead of a permanent instant port to a keep in their frontier.
I just mentioned it as a opinion is all.

I was the whole day in Albion and they said 56 inc Mids Rena not 70. So 4X alb defenders (80% casters atm) vs 56 attackers is nearly a draw.
