We need another BG
|
meeeeeeee would like to see sthg like that:
BG1 20-35 rr2L2 BG2 30-40 rr3L1 (yes 30-40 so u can go here if u reach 2l2 bellow 35) BG3 40-45 rr4L0 BG4 45-49 rr4L9 and make BG-keeps upgradble .... not to make walls or lord harder to crush but to have higher walls(yes ... aimin on these walljumpers (after missed pa/inc on bridge) this would help against the lack of rvr-players, cause most ppl dont go rvr for 1 reason .... it takes tooooooo much time from 4l2 to 5l0 without good setup |
|
Not a bad point on the 4L2-5L0. Still think "BG1" could stand to be divided. It's already really just a 30-35 BG now. Go in before that you might as well /q ![]() |

Almost everyone here is missing the point. The problems in OF can't be solved by replacing it even more by BG RvR to gain RR or so called 'BG skill practice'. This actually only makes the situation even worse.
The problem is that OF currently has way too high standards. Nobody just randomly pugs for the heck of it, like people do in BGs (and if they do, they get sick of it within a week or 2, for good reason). The only real solution to the problem of end RvR being too hard and unrewarding for about 60% of the playerbase is to make OF itself more fun, more pug friendly and more open to casual gameplay. NOT providing more alternatives to leave OF and the character progression above RR4L2 lvl50 die out even more than it already does or simply cap at a new threshold. People forget that about 60% of Uthgard's playerbase (and even more back on classic) are casual players. As long as they don't get decent incentives to shift their playstyle to fit more in OF, nothing will happen and people will keep crawling back and forth through BGs, with a constantly more polarising RvR population (organised groups dominating more and more). |

you guys not been playing the last week, wheres its just been pug zergs back and forth at primetime?

Occasional pug zergs don't create a stable incentive for casual players to invest even one minute of their time into end RvR. Neither do BGs with a high level and RR cap. |
|
Don't really understand what you want then...
It's not like pugs made up of random players at random times as going to stand a chance vs a group of players who play together regularly so they know each others strengths? |
|
The possibility of BG-like playstyle in OF is what I want. Being able to go out with 2 50s and 3 45+ players and just roam around without getting steamrolled every time by opponents to which you are no match and never will be.
To be able to move away from the fullgrp fulltemp RR4+ standard viably, which means nothing more than to have a reasonable amount of similar enemy activity on that level. In reality this would mean something like the increase of PvE groups in OF, which increases the viability of smallmans and smallman RvR. If you combine this with a factor that allows non-50 smallmans to actually level up while doing smallman RvR in a slightly more attractive way than PvEing (like BGs are atm), smallman action and eventually action in general will skyrocket. Not to mention having all this action in OF will truly make OF live like it once did, whereas atm it's only a vague silhouette of how some of us once knew it. |

gotta agree with Zarkor, we need to make OF more new player friendly or Uthgard will become pve/bg server

I'm afraid that's already the case. ![]() |

Been playing more than a month, and I can't see a reason to play in RvR :O BG's it is! |
|
May I ask what the reason for playing in BGs are then? |
|
Fun.

I'm working on an elaboration of the entire problem, just wait and see. |
