I totally agree with Samy, the days where 8er grp passed by a 8vs 8 fight are mostly gone. This sucks especially when you finally managed to find a 8 slot only grp :-)

My Guild has never added a 8 vs8, sadly we are added every single time. This is no complain, this is the way daoc always have been.

I really hope that soon Hadrians or Odins will develop as an 8er Zone for those players who like to do 8vs8 RVR

Midgard players don´t just simply play Daoc - we play Daoc to riun the game for Alb and Hib

RvR is what happens while you are here complaining

Zubasa when your guild started in this server, was adder guild. Now if any guy add your battle you start do emotes, send or spam in broad. In my opinion you should be last person who should opine about 8vs8.

and imo your a [little white rabit which I love] :P
and I can prove it: when I started here I joined gdrw when I was lvl47, from rr3 I made rps only in Agramon running GG or pugs - we didn't add back then nor do we today. Every half-decent enemy grp knows that we're one of the very few grps that leave 8vs8 fights alone on a regular bases (accidents might happen). only thing that changed with time was killing solos/small grps, did it in the beginning - became less and less - at hightimes we left grps up to 4man alone, but that turned out to be excessive :)

so grab your own nose before talking to others like that 8)

Deleted flaming, drop this conversation guys, offtopic and flamy

the word excessive u should rather use when talking about killing solos and smallgrps all the time with fg, since u did it from rr1 to 10 zubasa, and still u tend to kill solo rvr with your so called smallgroups ...u never run less than 5

ur right, i dont see you and your guild adding in 8v8, thats true, and that is good, but this cant reduce the fact that u've been ganking ur rr to the top 80% of your playtime

surely awaiting now a reply by zubasa that my guild adds every 8v8 ganks 24/7 and kills smallgrp action always ;) ... and after that we can go back to the topic again

its funny that the guys which are crying about add and zerg and want their 8vs8 use 5 second lagjumps where you cant hit them all the time while fighting a pug. if that the fair fight you want gl

you got it :P

OT: rvr is not dead, just got different, more zerg due to more players overall + focus on emain.

but I also heard of quite a few new grps forming on each realm, so the next generation of uthgardians will hopefully bring some fresh wind to rvr aswell.

my perfect vision for uthgard would be having 1500+ players (with no lags), 8vs8 zone in breifine, emain for zergs, hw/odins for raids + small grps/solos.

Do you know that this never will hapen? Maybe 1500 players yes but 8vs8 zone, and other zone for small groups and solo, never.

You seem to forget that Breifine action requires FGs to pass the zergzone (emain), which is rather unlikely. If we're going to work on a more 8v8 than 12v16 or 8v20 or w/e zone, you can't possibly expect this to be in Hib frontiers. Hadrians or possibly Odin's are the only real options.

@Zub:
You dont add? I remember we build 2 fg zerg for DG zerg - and what did happen? Right ur group added aswell so it was 3 vs. 2 fg's...

Thats what I meant when saying the real 8on8 ppl.

You are the ones that only count rps when it comes to RvR - in my opinion.

Btw. I tried to start a 8vs8 channel again.
Not for doing planned RvR but to discuss which zone to go to avaoid zerg and talking about "unwritten" rules of this kind of RvR.

+ there is a #solo-it IRC channel - maybe Solo's can talk about similar things there too ;)

Try alb or hib, problem solved. Oh, wait...

My perfect vision for you would be to see you being successful in alb or hib while new RAs last. :D
(besides, breifine as a declared 8v8 zone wouldn't make sense with 1500 players since either mmg or amg in emain would be blocked by a zerg for mid/alb grps)
Why ToA-RAs advance high RR groups more than old RAs do:

On live it was similar: Almost all 8-Slot-HighRR-Roxxor Hib- and Mid- and Albgroups made their Realmranks 1 until about 7 or 8 in Zergs or via adding, leeching and so on. When they finally made it up to a good level of skill they started to focus on 8vs8 only and complaining about anyone who did add or zerg.
Those that were there since the beginning simply had the advantages of being a good team with a good setup while farming random noobs, which did not require skill aswell.
As soon as you did remember them how they started -> FLAME FLAME FLAME!

That's just normal. So why should it be different on Uthgard?
