lol this is how we got that cap ? nobody mentioned anything about a 50% castspeed cap - i got no clue how demiurgo came to that conclusion . so this is how a random comment without any background information once again gets stuff changed ... zippity does a crapload of tests that show there is no such thing as a 1.5 castspeed cap - demiuro replies with how quickcast caps castspeed to 50% and the castpeedcap getting introduced after blue reading ah bla bla bla oh 50% castspeed cap - genius !.... way to go ![]() gimme 10 minutes to get 5 sources that say the cap is at 1sec regardless of the original casttime. well of course i dont know if its the only reason for that change, i cant read the devs mind
![]() but this really seems to be a clear result of zippitys tests... and why should he invest so much time in testing, if it may not be used here? i have no clue about livelike casting time, but if you think there must be something wrong in zippitys tests, you should talk to him. |

zippity is testing about a nonexistant 1.5 castspeed rumor . demiurgu wants to know how quickcast works - brambles out his retarded point of view - and blue combines this with zippity´s tests . it has absolute NOTHING to do with each other the castingspeed cap is at 1 second + some milliseconds . regardless of the original casting time - you CANNOT CAST FASTER THAN 1 second. thats it . don´t believe this ? watch a random live vid ! a) eld b) runemaster c) spiritmaster d) kabalist e) bonedancer f) menta g) enchanter h) sorc no matter what class that vid is about - i guarantee you they cast their nukes faster than 50% of the delve . base/spec nukes all got a base castspeed from 2.5 - 4.0 . now watch a random daoc vid pre toa and if you see somebody nuking slower than 1.2 second let me know . fastest nuke would be the baseline nukes that either have a speed of 2.5 or 2.6 seconds. 50% of that is 1.25//1.3 seconds rm rc base nuke has a casting time of 3 seconds. go watch a random vid and if you see him nuke every 1.5 seconds so be it - then i´ll shut up right now. and don´t tell me that you don´t see a difference between 1.1 and 1.5 seconds - that is a huge jump. whatever- here are 3 sources that show that a 50% castcap is bogus. example source 1: http://daoc-guide.4players.de/forums/sh ... hp?t=15755 just read ^^ source 2: http://mortal.peril.org/jack/daoc/dmgcalc.html castspeed calculator add something like 385 dex and see how magicly 2.8 sec castspeed get down to 1.2 seconds. you know what 50% of 2.8 aint 1.2 ^^ now add something ridiculous like 999 dex - and its 1.1 seconds. cause thats the fricking cap. source 3: http://albion.camelot.4players.de/forum ... 111&page=2
the guy is using fraps to get an exact casttime out of his 2.8 delve spec nuke while having 421 dex + 10% castspeed - he gets to the conclusion that the castime is at exact 1.14 seconds. so how is this possible if a 2.8 sec spell is capped at 1.4 seconds ? maybe because there is no such thing as a 50% castspeed cap ? ------ back to zippity´s testrow - you see chatlogs with the format hh:mm:ss . so how exactly does that show a difference between 1.4 seconds and 1.1 second ? |
