Was a nice event, around 400+ players involved, we need more of that. Too bad, the server lacked a bit of performance.

... and after mids cleaned up their frontier they went STRAIGHT for the Power Relic. Now that we know what you are about we'll just camp Dagda with animists + PBAE every time there is a Blue Sunday.

Yeah, blame me for the thousand of rps you made there with the shrooms being the only one able to cast

I just tried to bring action, we could have kept rolling the 4-5 fg hibs and albs here and there. The fight in OG was glorious, and I don't care at all that we lost it. That was what I was looking for! :D

You tell us primary target are open zergfight and then you go straight onto relic keep. Think next event all realms will keep that in mind and won't search for open zergfights. The last event was fun im emain, this event showed you can never trust your enemy. Most time we were searching for the action, some wanted to hit mid-relic when we did not find you, but i told them thats not in the spirit of the event. Next time i will know.

yeah, as runental said... my problems started 2 hours before the event. I had to gather the zerg at gralla instead of svasud, while I had things to handle in RL, and my guild was still killing the dragon.
After we wiped the hibs we went straight to their relic for retaliation. As we hadn't seen much of an albzerg 'till then, I thought this was the best call to create action. And it worked, hibs came back in real numbers and gave us one hell of a fight in OG and at gralla... thanks for the inc from behind that gave us the chance to push out. Everything not as planned, but fine with me.
Dont be a sore loser, as I never got intel about albs >80, and that would have been no match for close to 300 mids open field...

Thx for this event again :)

I joined the hib bg at ~ 7 pm, so I don't know what happened before. I was a bit confused, when it became all about relics at some point.

But I enjoyed the encounters in mid frontiers later on and thank everyone involved for making this happen. The lag wasn't helpful, but equally shared between the realms it seems

Keep going!

Best wishes,
Zaya

Enjoyed it, as always..thanks again Holsten-Knight for planning it. Wasn't quite what it could have/should have been, and part of that's my fault, last time Mid opened with 183 or so, Hib with about 135ish and quickly rose up to match Mids numbers, Albs I think fielded about 100 or so, and the fact that it was on our turf which was also housing 3 shiny things made it difficult to come out and fight much.

This time, Mid opened with a similar number, but instead of falling off some, just kept rising..Quickly it was 300vs150 or so, and it became about mitigating the mismatch somehow, which any dead Hib knows you don't do vs Trolls with hammers in the open field. My people didn't enjoy it so much this time, it was for us a lot of time holed up somewhere and not enough fighting (again my fault).

Before Blue Sunday 7 (which I'd really like to see in 2 weeks not 4 or 6), I'd like to see a few of us get together and set some ground rules, IRT what should be off limits etc., I trust Holsten, I trust Splitquick and Romu's word if they make a Gentleman's agreement, and free of worry over shiny things, I would hope we could just rage somewhere, destroy all the grass with our footprints, and maybe lose ourselves for a little while in a taste of what the game USED to be like for many of us.

I believe this event is important for the health of the server, I'd hate to see it die off.

its the 2nd Bluesunday event in a row where hibs came to midfrontier and forced the action to begind early. I am not saying rvr is off limmits prior to the event, but hitting a relic keep 1 hour before its sceduel is just forcing action and chaos to thrive and rulesets to go out the window. Actions have consequents.

It was chaotic, uncalled for, laggy and very relicbased today. But also fun most of the time.

But I think all three realms saw why zerg fights in these sizes should be in the open (shrooms thrive better in soil and not on walls)
So unless hibs go knocking on relic keeps hours before next blue sunday im sure we can expect big open juicy 3way fights in valleys, hilltops, on a field and at milegatewalls.

Glen I respec you for what you do for your realm, but if it was you in charge calling for a relic attack prior to the Bluesunday I would say some of the reason it was about relics falls on you.
I think its smart of hibs to come out and force the action to begin in mid frontiers last two times, if thats a more fun playground (supperior keep designs) but involving relics will just make it the theme of the night.

my two cents.

I would love more open field zergfights next time. There is nothing more boring as a relic raid or defense as a warrior... and I think lags are worse inside keeps and especially relics than open field. I would be fine with an agreement not to attack relics next time and a clean start in emain.
Sorry again to romu and the albs, I can understand it must have been frustrating not to know where the action is most of the time.

But again it wasn't my choice to start the event during a relic defense. That made it hard for mids to build groups and stuff, as some were svasud, some yggdra and some in the relic, and lfg got mixed with inc calls etc.

Our counter attack on the hib relic was my fault, I just tried to teach the hibs, get the relic fast and come back to the albs in midgard. Didn't work, instead we got teached not to mess with shrooms in a lagfest and it took waaay too long, my bad.

Indeed, leave the relics next time.

As for zerg fest, it was superb! MORE events like this please.

Thumbs up Holsten!

BTW 1260 connected last evning, must have been a record for many many weeks, if not months.

I find this part interesting. As an animist in this raid shrooms were taking up to 10 seconds to even cast and the casters and animist around me were owned by melee classes due to not being able to even cast stun or root.

I loved the idea of the event and thanks to everyone who participated. Maybe BLUE and company can look through the logs and find a tweak to allow these big fights without the huge lag issues.

Thanks for setting it up Holsten.

Did dev(s) play any part, either visibly or invisibly involved? Would have thought a nice planned event on their server would be something they would be interested in.
