Go to Emain. Run with hastener speed.. get ganked 8 v 1 by full group of hibs/albs.

Go back... walk to AMG in stealth.. get there.. no one is there!

Log off.

Seksy, I have to give you points on this one. I was hoping that the lowering of BG's would have the opposite effect, but I have to agree with you that I think this turned alot of players away from Uthgard and into the waiting arms of Origins. I hate to agree with a player who thinks a server wipe is a good idea, but you are correct on this issue at least.

Well the idea was to actually get people RvR'ing in the frontiers. Remove the BG's, so they have no other choice. Right :wall: . Now that we''ve tried that, let's think of something else.

The problem is that the Old Frontiers really are as boring as hell. So how do you get people in there? Offering a better xp platform will only get the griefers out, killing the xp'rs. Could raise the reward on taking keeps, but this will do fk all for the solo'r. Aswell as having the Holstein group (amongst others) out chasing them for rps.

Tbh, I can't think of one thing that would make me go out and go into the Frontiers. Not a single thing. Even if you refer to grouping, it would do my head in. The time it takes to form a group, the players, etc.

What's NOT going to work for the frontiers is:

- raising drops or xp.
- giving a higher bonus for taking keeps (still is boring as fk and it wont get me rr6 in a year or 2).

In Thidranki I could atleast hide in the water if it was too zergy, or w8 and get a group. If the group was bad (players or setup), so what, chance are you'd meet another one that was on the same level. If solo, most of the time I ran unbuffed and still could make kills. Etc, etc. That's something that just isn't going to work in the Frontiers.

Yeah, you are right. I typed that in all honesty. Look. I've played this game for more then 10 years. I made friends on the live servers to group with if I want to do some serious RvR (which I have). If not, NF has giving me insta port and ToA has giving me the abilities to compete vs higher rr's if my char was low on rr. Port for all 3 realms saved the lower populated servers. Instant action and if the numbers grew you got zerg fights going (so I suppose the new port to the frontiers keeps is a start).

I'm not sure how Uthgard could fix this so I (and a presume others aswell) could get the same experience. More players would help, no doubt. But then you would need to get them there (frontiers). Emain is just a big choking point, no place for solo'rs or a smallmen, if it's crowded. But then Hadrians wall or Odins just isn't an alternative, there's no one there. As for zerg fights, emain just isnt the same as having 3 realms having port to their keeps.

Suppose the top guilds could try to run with others. Even split their group if needed. So what if the other guy or girl has no Ventrilo or Teamspeak. Infact think this would be a big improvement, but then again they would just log if they lost a couple of times. Rightly so, why not play with your friends.

Funny I suggest almost the exact same thing when I came to Uth back in 2012. I posted a thread that ended up with 75 replies stating such. It also is a good capsule of that shows many people making excellent suggestions and all of them are shot down repeatedly by the GMs. "No, No, No, No, No, No, um hell no, um no no no no.........we are doing an RvR rewrite" is the response.

Seriously most of what has been suggested on this forum in the last few days is nothing new:

They ordered a new server for Origins say it will be ready to go in 5 days. The whole experience is 10 times smoother then it was on launch day. Not one zone freeze or major lag the entire day today.

If you hadn't noticed every single post in every thread lately is about how to make uth better since the origins server launched.

I am NOT one of the people saying "Down with Uth rip uth haha suck it uthgard" like many on origins do. I'm still hoping uth GMs do something to turn the situation around and making some suggestions.

If I didn't care I wouldn't post here at all.
