I personally use both....depending on how many players need healing.
If more then 3 I find grp heal useful.....if less I try not to.
Usually I don't have big mana problems....but grp heals eat more.....at least this is my impression.
I don't have a preference, I think both can be useful if well used.

O_O, and that means with Pom Charge4 you don´t get mana problems?

Well depends what im playing but usually even as Aughealer with some good Mana RA´s(MCL2,RP1,Sere2) and BoF3, i got sooner or later mana problems :D.

Using first Pot already after i reach about 70% Mana and then keep using them if Timer is gone.

So :D, i do not understand that people say, oh i have no problems at all.

Maybe you win/loose your fights so fast :D, that you haven´t problems cause of this.

...but in the end I don't use pots that much.....I guess the moment you are perma without mana something is wrong in the grp.

eheheh, nono Gala!

but yeah, I always thought about the grp or spread heal issue too and in the end I think I found my right balance of mana use for shear, rupt and heal.
ofc there are times when I have to write OOM, but a lot depends also on the entire grp work.

Well its prolly hard to compare Droods with Augis.

Hib got more healpower anyways, drui, drui, warden, bard compared to Paci, Augi and Shamans that really hate to Heal as it seems :)

Normally I use both heals. Spread heal as soon as a diseased target needs heal (a.e. an overextending diseased merc who calls for incoming damage) and spec grp heal if i have to heal multiple targets (or sometimes pets) as fast as possible. The baseline grp spell i do not use on my cleric (only if I am bored ^^).

use spread if you need to heal and your target is diseased, out of sight or you cant single heal cause of ns

use base grp if you run some time and 3+ grp member need a little heal

use grp heal if some grp member get damg and 1 would die cause spread too slow

not talking about the single heals

Hey,

To be honest I don't even have the grp heal on any qbind or qbar.
Of course on my healer situations with mana problems are rare and Purge helps against NS, but i also don't see a real point in using it. The base-linie group heal is slow and doesn'T heal much, the spec on is fast doesn't heal much and coast a lot of mana.
Normaly there are anyway not much situation to use grp/heals or spread heals. Just NS, oos and Disease, which normally isn't that a problem als mid group.
Even if you have NS or your target is oos, the group heal won't save it, not against a BM or something like that. I guess for many ppl, the problem is more the lazyness or the reaction, which means to see situations early enough, to avoid to use spread or group heals.
