The group that runs up against them can't kill them fast enough because smite clerics have sooooooo many tools at their disposal combined with decent ranged damage with 8 of them dudes doing it!

As for Animist shrooms damaging players out of LoS. I'm gonna guess this got fixed and was never reported in the changelog?

Magicco wrote:here on uth, you can outrun a cast of a caster pet (ice-pet,ench-pet,charmed mob blabla)
so if the cast is initiated there is a 2nd line of sight and range check on uth.

on live atm, there is no 2nd LOS or range check, only the for starting a cast the pre-conditions are needed.
i found one or two old vids(classic) that show the same behauvior

any statement or disagree :p?

Therefor you only need to be in LoS for a second to receive the rain of spores.

There was never any los. I was rebuffing under the box and the rain of spores hit me. This was 3 days ago. So unless there was a change then, then i assume its still like that.

why do u all argue with another bug (los check)? thats no a valid reason and should not be of interest here.
if an animist hid his shrooms in the wall, that would be the same bug abuse as reported and would clearly be considered as
a bug.

Pls do not derail this Thread.
Yes, i can confirm, that i have observed some strange behaviour with shrooms, but i haven't tested it yet. (Yes i'll test it very soon)

If you want to discuss any problems with the animist pets, pls do it in another Thread, as that one is mainly about the question if it's considered bugabuse to hide pets in the texture of AMG or something similar.

GM work != Developer work

just a little thing people maybe could start to remember after the 100th time it is posted in this forum? Ty

Once again Pweet, I dont know if your reading comprehension skills are failing or what, I never once said there was no advantage gained by doing this. As a matter of fact I told you the advantage of doing so. My comments on it were very simple. If this is truly bug abuse then the GM's needed to say. When I was told in game I was told it MIGHT be bug abuse. Now either it is or it isnt. Since I have made this thread I had Abydos, and only Abydos respond directly to my question, and his response was that it was bug abuse. Fine, I have no problem with that but you have to tell the community. I also didnt appreciate being told to "pass along the information." Its not my job to tell the community about the rules. Pets have been parked in walls since I got here over 3 years ago. If that is now considered bug abuse then a GM needs to put in changelog or in the forums so players are aware. I just got laughed at when I put it in broad. Everyone thought I was joking.

My only other issue is that if I put my cat in the box, or in the corner of a mile wall and then call it to fight for me in a fight, guess what it does? It runs through the wall to help fight which is also bug abuse by ignoring pathing. The advantage? The pet gets to me sooner. By doing this I'm still able to buff the pet. So, what is exactly bug abuse? Is it just parking the pet in a wall so its unattackable, or does it also involve making a pet run through a wall to get to me faster? They both are abusing Pathing issue. The difference is one I can control putting pets in walls, not so much on how my pet chooses to run to me.

So that is why I was asking in this thread. Now that I have been perfectly clear Pweet, do you have something to add that is constructive? If not stay out of it. Or do you have any more dumb comments asking things that you allready know the answer to? Troll on bro...

actually i never trolled in this thread and just pointed out some "common sense" understanding of bug abuses.

pweet wrote:if u didnt ve any advantage of hiding it, why would u do it? =)

This was your comment originally. Then I replied by telling you that there was indeed an advantage to it, then you replied with more advantages, meaning you knew the answer to your own question. The point of this thread was not to argue about what advantages and disadvantages putting a pet in the wall offered, it was to get a straight answer on whether or not it was bug abuse and if having a pet run threw a wall on the way to you was also bug abuse. Anything else just takes away from a perfectly valid question.
