Relogging into different realms just to farm enemies

I'm aware Abydos, but on the example of the player that was rp farming, we reported these issues 2 nights in a row. Then a couple nights later after nothing was done Austerim reports it and litterally minutes later its taken care of. It wasnt like we didnt give it some time to see if something happened. Also, Akip, in no place on these threads, in game, or anywhere else does it say to report problems via IRC. It says to do a /call gm or /appeal in game to report issues. IRC is a OPTIONAL service that people can use to chat in between realms. It is not the end all be all of reporting stuff. I dont use IRC for the same reason I dont have any players on other realms. When I get angry I have a habit of saying exactly what I think and because of that I limit the forums I try to talk on to prevent bans or upsetting people.
Once again Abydos, as I posted, this was not an attack on you or any other GM. I am simply pointing out that the few times I have tried to report things I get ZERO response. Not, some times it takes awhile to get a response, ZERO response. Then Austerim or another player reports it and wham, its taken care of. That is frustrating. |

I've been using IRC for years now so I'm always on it and I feel it's easier to contact GMs there instead of using /callgm sometimes.

Agree with that, i often callgm in game and dont ahve answer, and got easier an answer from irc, its not becuz who is who that gm answer faster 2012:<@[Uth]Abydos> If we don't have SI by the end of the year, Im fairly certain I wont be a GM anymore :-p

Offtopic: I can guarantee you, if I'm in IRC I see all callgm as they come to our staff channel. Callgm is the appropriate method for in game support as GMs who are on but not necessarily in #Uthgard can see your appeals and respond.
A personal preference, for me: Please do not callgm then immediately find me in IRC. This is quite annoying as I would be working on a reply in game, only to have you not answer as you've tabbed out to find me in irc  More on topic: Also, you wont necessarily receive a response as we keep our investigations private. If you see a ban, there was enough evidence for a conviction. It is important to verify what you see in the logs. If we banned on player reports only we'd have a significant amount of falsely accused. |

Maybe I will try out this new fangled invention they call IRC, but I will have to only use it when needing a GM help. I have a feeling if I was on it all the time I would be banned within the first couple of weeks for losing my temper with other players.  On topic with the original thread: It has been noted before that we would implement some sort of a realm switching timer. Nothing extrememly long, maybe 15 minutes to 1/2 an hour. This would help eliminate what the OP was talking about as well as help to curtail people switching realms just to flame or QQ about fights. Is there any sort of an update on that Abydos or Blue? |

No update I am aware of. You should know not all realm switching is for cross realm espionage and the rule acknowledges the fact that it is indeed ok to play on multiple realms. As to why the old ban is written that way I cannot say as I do not know the circumstances. However, if you plan on RVRing after checking in on a realm I would advise any player to take a brief break as to avoid any bad perceptions. |

I 100% agree that not all people switching realms are doing it for bad reasons. I would even go so far as to say that 90-95% of people switching realms is for the good of the server. For example, people switching to do PvE type raids on a different realm or switching because there is too much of one realm out in RvR and they want to even the playing field. We have MANY toons that play multiple realms in our guild and I'm all for supporting it. The sad thing is that a few people like to use this nice feature for the wrong reasons. Logging in to flame a person that just killed them or checking to see what the other realms have in the BG's or frontiers and using that information for personal gain. You also have people that like to switch at events and join up with the realm that has the biggest zerg, or of course the people that are quick to report a relic raid inc.
Just to be clear, I am all for people playing multiple realms and its a shame that the few bad apples might ruin a great aspect of this game for many. I never used to report people for logging in to flame after a fight, but I will start doing it since it has became almost common practice. Now if somebody wants to log in and have a fun discussion about a fight I'm all for it, but just to log in to flame and QQ is an abuse of a nice feature. |

Xrealm timers are a complicated topic. Imagine several players behind same IP. They would block themself from logging into other realms.

i agree me and some friends play from a net cafe here and we have same ip most of the times or we are on the same ip range with same gateway... still when i where baned that time in amg for not killing enemies etc
 none of em was baned and i have been with same gateway and ip on login with their diff accs ofc not at the same time but that moved my curiosity anyway was a good call. becouse they could say that the same person plays without knoying about the net cafe thing.And when that happens they ban all known accounts ,still they separate my account from my friends(that was the good call)Well my point is that xrealm in many situations is a hard pick for the gms. |

you mean ppl like yahaa or littleluc, if to much albs amg they log ranger/vale ^^
some ppl does callgm about this perma realm switching at amg (im not), they said there was never a reaction from a gm im only get angry if some of 2 realms dosent atack each other and atack togehter the 3th realm, because there are guild-ts-rl mates... Back to NF, NEW RA.
