Bugged in a way that does too few damage on casters, yes. Average PA damage is about in line, but since it doesn't factor in absorb, it is a bit too high on heavy armor and a bit too low on light armor.

How can it be too low when casters still have 10% absorb? Imo too high...

Because the calculation is based on a rumored cap formula, not the real one. PA cap is much higher, even before dmg increase on CS styles it was. You basically never hit the cap on live, still it is/was easily possible to PA for 600-800 dmg (new CS damage) or 500-700 (old damage).

PA on a lvl1 toon, or a toon without armor on live, and you will see cap is MUCH higher than anything you see here. On a caster without shields you could PA for 900 dmg, this is totally, absolutely impossible on Uthgard. Just saying.

Now, back to topic ;)

I gotta say SM to me is the hardest solo caster class. Follow that up with Sorc then Theurg. I've never played against any Hib casters so I couldnt say who is good solo for them. I just know that SM's, if played and spec'd right, can eat people up solo. There only weakness is tank classes with purge or charge and a shield to slam the pet. If you cant control the pet to get rid of intercept you will die. I've heard BD's were pretty good solo, but being 100% honest, I dont think i've ever seen a solo BD at amg when i've been out there so I couldnt say for sure.

After fighting Zai's BD a few times in emain I can say they are right up there now. I will say this, I believe you have to be a fairly decent player to play the BD solo, but that is most casters. My updated rankings would be SM, BD, Sorc, Theurg.

SM is the only one who can win vs an assasin at a reasonable win ratio, so i d say SM or nothing since there are like assasins all over emain ;)

hm one question i got about bonedancer

many well-played BD (e.g. slina, pesti, ...) cast their Instandlifetap without facing or losing space between them and the one who follows them. once i followed slina and it looks like a veryvery short lag while slina jumps and i ate one lifetap but i won no space between the bd or me^^ how does this work?

Can't put Slina or Pesti as standard.

Slina has an awesome temp, good skill and now decent RR (did you run with 4L2 solo aswell? dont remember.. if so, good job).
Same goes for Pesti with an overkill of RAs.

If someone runs a new toon which has to be a caster and wants to play it primary solo, I would go for SM, no doubt.

As already said most enemys will be stealthers, therefore the mass-intercept pet will be the bigger chance to win than with any other caster.

Sorc/Theurg are pretty strong of course, but only if they fight vs another visable enemy so they can have the range to act.

they ve to face u to cast it so they ll loose space for sure, they can minimize it by facing and turning back quickly
