The visible Hunters/Scouts don´t move at all but still you get the message that you can´t see your target ... no clue if that´s because of wrong placement or any other issues.

Anyway, I think "guard tasking" is a great tool to lure out people in the frontiers. So please guys, try to make it viable for all classes except only assassins/minstrels.

I can testify that LOS is a issue on keeps. There should be 5 gaurds that can be killed at any keep as long as u have some sort of a ranged attack and at most keeps your LUCKY if you can find 4 and most keeps its 3 or less. Basically, u kill the 2 out front and usually the scout/hunter/ranger above them. After that if you can target any of them count urself lucky. Some keeps are worse then others, but i've noticed it alot. Also, to all those people that say you shouldnt be doing gaurd tasks and to get into a group, you do realise that there is other forms or RvR and some people also supplement there normal group/solo rvr w/ missions. Just because you do gaurds tasks doesnt make you a noob, it makes you more efficent. Its an extra 1250 rps on my ranger when i'm heading out to emain, or if emain is dead then i can go do a quick task before i log. Group gaurd tasks are a great way to earn rps in small man rvr or where u have some chars under 50 or not high RR, and you can easily get 10k+ a night if you do them right.

Ill take OF keep deigns anyday over NF ones..No LOS issues is why casters obliterated anything near a keep in NF by assisting

LOS bug is everywhere, you cant fight mobs at hills everywhere

this bug have nothing to do with NF or OF

Mythic changing the clients in a later patch must be the answer then I guess since this is how it was back then:

At minute 2:30 to 2:45 you see the RM nuking targets that are barely visible while positoning the camera in the right angle and impossible to see if you draw a straight line from the kobold's head to the target (which is how it's done on Uthgard).

The widest interpretation of "as long as you can see your target you should have LOS" does make sense here.

have those LOS problems also in alot of parts where mobs placed at a hill or while rvr when people just run and jump ..
i love the americans with their bad conection doing this :angry:

Any action in changing positions of guards? In Alb Keep u can nuke 5 Scouts, in Hib and Mid u cant. Can u adjust Hib and Mid Scouts pls.b

As Mythic stated in some post they measure LOS from head to head. Camera position doesnt matter.

There have been fixes to the LOS because people abused it by nuking out of keeps but you could not hit them from outside. Not quite sure what caused that. I also don't remember exactly when they changed it, but this must be in a grab bag ~ 4 years ago.
For what I remember they introduced a double LOS check (you must see the target + the target must see you).


Fact is: you currently cannot hit the scouts of alb and hib keeps if you stand outside. With my (Luri) champ, sometimes I even have to jump to hit mid keep guards ;)
