three different things that each player has at a different level, or may not spec at all, plus hunters and scouts are melee/bow with PD, the ranger clearly has something else. but every single class that can DW/CD/LA is at the very top. No exception. Every primary melee at the top is a DW/CD/LA meleer (minstrel is arguable either way), no exception. 1 trait, all shared, no exceptions. to me, that's clear. |

I think you overvalue your hypothesis. ![]() It's true that it's probably part of why these scores are the way they are, but it surely isn't the only factor by far. |
|
The probability that it's just coincidence decreases with a higher amount of data that is considered. The graphics here are made of the data of the last 7 days. The graphics here: http://www.uthgard-server.net/modules.p ... c&p=170938 are the mean values of the results of the last 7 weeks. Maybe you want to check that theory there also? There's not much discussion in that thread, yet ![]() Last edited by Rector on Jun 27, 2010 12:56, edited 2 times in total.

who said its the only factor? Its just the one that's clearly marked in the data. That is interesting Rector, looks like the data is quite similar. |

Maybe I could try to show the LWRPs by class-categories, like:
caster supporter dual-wielder 1h/2h ...? Would that make sense? Are the categories okay? What's expected then? Any conclusions we could maybe draw out of this? ^^ |
|
I think those would be good categories to compare. Some classes will cross over though obviously.
|
|
Yes. And it won't make sense if I just add their LWRPs together, if there are not equal numbers of dual-wield-classes and 1h/2hand-classes for example. But I can add the LWRPs together and divide that LWRP-pool by the number of classes that contributed to it. Then it's comparable.
But hm, are there many classes that cross over the categories? Friar (supporter or 1h/2h?) Valevalker/Thane (caster or 1h/2h?) ...? maybe categories fullcaster and hybrid would be better. |
|
Yup, the Hybrid category would be much better, particularly because the impact of the incoming Determination removal could then be observed.

skald and minstrel are both kind of in there own category being SoS, speed, CC-lite etc
warden and friar are healing melee. Paladin is end regen and crappy rez. Thane has nukes, VW has lifetaps. Bard, sorc and healer break down as main CCers. But healer is also a spreader, sorc has base lifetaps and spec nukes, and bard is end and speed. I guess it just depends on what details you want to focus on. |
|
I think is a good idea to make an aggregate statistic between classes that uses different melee mechanics (two weapons vs. 2h vs. 1h + shield) and between det tanks and hybrids that will not have det with Old RA (for a comparation after Old RA go live).
But imho you have to do it for each realm too, so you can discern between classes that cross over. ![]() |

You never cease to amaze, Eclipsed. What's strange is that you acknowledge Nightshades will have the advantage with OF RAs, but you don't comprehend why this would effect the number of active Rangers.

I added a "meleetype-comparison" graphic in this thread:
