Hmm true. I guess you could take the old Det costs to make it more balanced. So Both get Det 5, but the main and full tanks will end up with a max of 75%, Hybrids max 55%, both total cost would be 22. I guess this is a better compromise.
This isn't about influencing GMs in any way, it's about how would you try to give Hybrids det in a balanced way. Regardless of Uthgard's status basicly.  |

Maybe you're right. And i think we should copy the way Mythic solved it. Meaning exactly your example. Same cost (like in NF RAs) and better values for tanks (like stoi in NF RAs). Status quo between hybrids and tanks will be kept this way. And everyone should be happy... |

Hmm, I'm not sure which option you're talking about now but I think there's 2 ways to do it in a balanced way. (Meaning both full and light tanks pay the same for Det5, only Hybrids get less return.) Option 1: Use Old RAs as fundament: Fulltanks Det remains unchanged: [Det1(1pts) = 15%, Det2(2pts) = 30%, Det3(3pts) = 45%, Det4(6pts) = 60%, Det5(10pts) = 75%] Hybrid Det means Old RA Det costs, combined with New RA Det values: [Det1(1pts) = 4%, Det2(2pts) = 8%, Det3(3pts) = 20%, Det4(6pts) = 38%, Det5(10pts) = 55%] Option 2: Use New RAs Det (silly idea though when you use Old RAs though ^^): Fulltanks receive Stoicism at lvl 35 and use NF Det system. Hybrids dont receive Stoicism and use the NF Det system. I'd go for option one though since it stays closer to Old RAs and makes det a lot cheaper. I don't think it would be a good idea to increase the Det costs in Old RAs, seeing as you have a lot more to spec in than with New RAs regarding other passives. Besides, both Hybrids and Fulltanks benefit from having a cheaper total cost for Det5. I think I'll keep option 1 as my official opinion about the subject. =) (And no, Minstrels and Skalds don't receive Det.) |

I'd like to see something very different as this is such a huge thing that affects the community of this server in every possible way.
Plan it out and make an event out of it. In fact make it a 1 day event which features smaller events all day long. The events should feature all possible types of game-play for the server admins to monitor (players as well). 1 vs 1, 4 vs 4, 8 vs 8 and zerg vs zerg etc. This gives everybody the ability to evaluate upcoming changes before it goes 'live' (Pendragon style). You get the initial idea, obviously it can be branched out further and in way more detail. Freeshard celebrity since Odin's Gate "Sup Warlord, Nova, Legion!"

Hybrids could do with OF cost of det at NF effectiveness, and standard cost purge(10).
Alb - Eternitys, Eternityz, Spectres, Prophecy, Phantasm, Swarm
Mid - Spheres, Cicada, Aalea

I would say DET for Valewalker, Skald, Thane, Champ and Reaver.
No Det for Minstrel because this class is a potential demezzer and also a stealth class. |

Would make more sense that those who can currently spec det keep the weaker version, regardless of the class.
I am assuming direct control.

Skald doesn't get to spec det in NF why should he be able to do so in this imaginary customization of an already custom system?

I agree Minstrel shouldn't have Det, just doesn't make sense. Were on the rogue table, and a speed class, so if we got it, it'd be only fair if bards/skalds got it, and that just makes zero sense. I know you mentioned the two because were more melee/dps oriented then a bard, but were all speed classes with slight variations on our roles.

So the consensus is that hybrids that have access to det now can get it when we switch to OF RAs, but they pay the OF RA det tier prices for the NF det tier effects. Sounds good.

This isn't official, more of publicly showing support for something along those lines because the mods said they were "tweaking the ra's to some extent". I'd hate for something to happen that would literally render my class unplayable as well, so I support something along these lines but the version hybrids get should only be 50% as effective as light tanks, it's a fair exchange. So the OF prices for the NF versions is pretty accurate and middle ground imo (purge being regular cost however - 10).
