I mean sure I could solo grind the whole way there with massive downtime and hardship but really, after years of doing it on live servers, I guess I just got used to the current perks to xp that helps speed up the process for those of us who like to solo. That and id be playing off hours which would make it even tougher to be social and level the old fashion way with groups of e friends.

Start with leveling an animist or whatever your realms farming class is to 40+ to farm cash. Makes everything a whole bunch easier, since on Uthgard monnies actually have some value and most stuff can be bought. Also, even if you are an unsocial person, you can still get yourself a nice guild with access to crafters.

Of course, for an oldtimer like you leveling 2 toons to cap the old fashion way to just start the game can be a bit.. difficult ;)

Best way would be to get yourself an animist or chanter, use their cash to get your alchemy to +/-800 so u can craft barrels. Use those to craft endupots and perhaps some buff pots to help your NS solo. Also try getting into a guild that will help you gear-wise and you shouldn't have such a hard time.
