well it's a cycle, some sortof symbiosis...you raid a keep to get RPs and then u claim the keep, so enemies will in return raid the keep and get a reward AND claim it again, because they know a keep won't be raided, if it's not claimed and thus...also they wanna benefit from the upped keep in case of defenses...ofc the plain "we up to make them happy" issue makes no sense...but looking at the whole picture it DOES make sense, cause in the end keep claims/raids would decline and in the end be done for DF only...rvr would be back to no-action except for the normal emain-pop :)

Maybe the keep doors should not go higher than the level of a claimed keep. So a level 10 keep gets doors with levels from 1 to 10 and a level 2 keep gets only doors with level1 or level 2 max.

Another thought - a bit ore complicated:
Keep level is related to number of guildmembers online... (and guild has only to upgrade doors - but they go down when guild prime time is over... maybe possible to set a memory flag for getting back the door level from the evening before - as long as keep was not raided ofc).

no member online - keep = level 1
1 or 2 members online - keep = level 1
3 or 4 members online - keep = level 2
...
17 or 18 members online - keep = level 9
19+ members online - keep = level 10


So if your guild is online with many you have a chance to defend your high level keep. When primetime is over your keep falls back in level. On the next evening when your guild comes back to play you may have the claim (because it was a level 1 keep for around 20 hours or so - maybe it got raided for open DF but not for the poor RPs) - so your guild has a chance to hold the keep and to defend it with many if it comes to siege.

Not sure if it is possible to implement such a relation between keep and claiming guild...
And it's custom stuff, so not sure if Blue would even think about this...

At least it's no custom about items, styles, spells, class (dis-)advantages...
It's just to have a "high value keep" as bait for the enemy as long as you have a chance to defend it properly

You really think that deny to upgrade doors of unclaimed keeps will force "mids" to claim and upgrade all keeps?

This could just favouring raidkeepers to conquer them with less rams/time ^^

Yes, i know some mids (have a look Fensa :D) but I saw also many Albkeeps with lvl1 but lvl 8+ doors.^^

Maybe make it so unclaimed keeps have a higher bonus than low level claimed keeps and and add bonus rp's to keeps with upped doors. That may increase claims and some defense of keeps

Well I am part of a mid fg (or zerg) who makes many keepraids. We make guardtask for rp and the keep itself gives rp.

If you disable the guard group task and increase the hib/alb/mid group Playerkill task rp, maybe then more mids would go for a fg vs fg fight? Nobody wants to raid a lvl 1 keep for only 500rp. But with a grouptask its enought motivation. So kill the guard group task and it could change a bit.
