I really would like to see the keep take tasks. But we have to cleanup our code first or we will still are unable to change things in the next years to come.

So would I, together with the other solutions to casual RvR really. I think the collective implementation of these things will give casual RvR the boost it needs. Doing it step by step might diminish the effect, which I think would be a shame.

About the code though... reading it alone makes it sound like it will take a long time to fix.. :P

You really don't want to see this code :) I have a hard time to crawl through it and cleaning it up. But thats the only way to make sure we are able to change anything we want with ease and to prevent unexpected bugs.

How can you even discuss RvR changes when the classes aren't completed? Classes are functional units that comprise endgame RvR. Seems to me like you're trying to invent the lightbulb without first fully discovering electricity...

Because all matters to the game. There is always a difficult balancing where to invest development time.

See, Zarkor is of the opinion to make structural RvR changes first, you are of the opinion to make bugfixes and features on classes first. Completing classes and bugfixing all of them in every regard takes a long time as this is a emulation that often requires lots of research. The key to all this is priority and weighing efforts. We could waste years working on making classes perfect without changing any bit in RvR but I'm sure this is not what the majority expects as classes don't work that bad. We track bugs here in forum in form of threads which can be bumped to "vote" for a bugfix. That seems to work quite good.

landwirtschafts-simulator is quite impossible to beat, rumors tell that the GW2 release will be delayed to avoid a simultaneous release with Landwirtschafts-simulator 2012-addon pack (the cow level on difficulty hell - The Cows Milk Back).

Look at this r0xx0r kid farming noob wheat:

Would you mind to explain what <recent> change<s> you refer to beside the infamous barrel change?

Maybe hastener removal ?
Same story than barrel, it was a very convenient feature. Loosing such features is always hard to accept.
1.69 is a great patch to target, but some changes done after this patch have added more fun in the game and it would be nice to have them includes. I kown it's hard to see difference between thoses changes and the ones that made live DAoC an easy stupid senseless game, but i think it worth a try.
1.69 custom is better than 1.69 period :D

I think about :
- PvE hastener (maybe with a speed scaled on level)
- TP to 2nd SI portal
- increased hp/power/end regeneration rate
- rog
- multiple charge potions
- ...

I know, it's not what u plan for Uthgard. You just want a perfect emulator of 1.69 with a minimum number of difference.

It's quite clear which approach they are taking since they locked my previous topic.

They are going for the blind copypaste 1.69 settings with a tiny amount of customised features that they and only they can have a say about. This way they can ignore and neglect their community to a maximum (and then be surprised when the complaints are maximised this way too).

They don't care, they don't wanna care. Take it or leave it. Ehh wait, I mean leave it. Just leave it. They don't want your opinion anyway.
