Help unwanted?

Hey community. Yesterday I had an experience which I'd like to share and discuss with all of you:
I was out in Midgard on the hunt and observed a group of 5 or 6 Midies camping a lvlspot - all of them conned yellow to me. I was ready to go for a kill when I realised that the group was in major trouble: They aggroed some additional mobs and even lost two groupmembers, so I decided to help the Midies out instead of engaging them. After snatching the aggro of all the mobs and finishing them off, the remaining group engaged (note: until that moment I didn't engage any of the Midies) and finally killed me. My question is: Is obviously required help unwanted when it come to terms of "war between the realms"? Even when it means that the group/a single player will die? This isn't meant to be a whining-thread about how unfair players from opposing realms can be, I just want some insight (moral codex maybe) so I know how to react when it comes to a similar situation in the future. Maybe some of yesterdays groupmembers feel addressed and like to share their point of view. That would be helpful. Regards Sinush Scout in the rank of a Master Scout of the Defenders of Albion

Someone told me once, that there are no stupid questions. Today i think he was wrong.
![]() Honestly, what answer do you expect? Will depend individually, as always. |

Helping members of enemy realm? Really?
![]() It's the thrill of the chase
and I'm coming after you. |

Maybe something like: "Yeah, it is unwanted. Mind your own business. Moron!" or maybe "Help is always wanted. No matter what realm from. Thx, mate!"...depending on the majority (and total numbers in comparison) I will think over my behaviour in RvR. So...what's your opinion to the topic? It would be by far more helpful than any rant. You can find friends, you can even find love, or you can find new enemies to hate. "You can do everything, but you don't have to" was the motto in, uhm, a club I was recently...

Happened to me more than once to save a grey ennemi from a certain PVE death.
I don't kill grey (except if they engage) and even help them sometimes. However, yellow conc, no mercy to me. Except if they have grey pets for example, then you know it's just 35ish |

Tbh you helped them to the fullest, you gave them rps as well as saveing them time and coin con.

sinush, can you please help my lowbie grop in jamtland to xp as well? we are usually there from around 8 pm EST so if you take care of adds, we would appreciate. once we are done with the leveling, we need to kill you to get some RAs to help us level further.
honestly thought, you are taking it too far.
maybe share, but let's not discuss ![]() |

Welcome to Uthgard.

Well if you wanted to make sure that they dont lose xp you may have shot at the wrong target.
They clearly couldnt handle that spot. Giving them the oppurtunity to reg to full health and rezz their dead would have yielded more rp in the longrun, common practice, your intentions may have been pure at the moment...but you werent exactly on a stroll taking in the scenery. You were a hostile force and someone had to deal with it and if they couldnt do so themselves you can be damn sure that they would have in the very least given away your loc on /b /g /as. ![]() |

On Uthgard 1 such a codex was more popular.. Nowdays it isnt. |

ja, it was: easy rp's are good rp's^^ |

I would rather die to mobs than take help from an Alb or Hib.

not sure about that, i it myself to a goal, to keep greys for instance alive, unless they attack me. thats a different story than. i remember days in DF with my sb where i saved serveral greys thier ass against mobs, those did not attack me either, as they seen i go only for their mobs. So it is possible to respect and be respected. Everything that has color tho, is a possible enemy. tho thats a different story. i would like to have the old days of uthgard back where things been respected and not everyone behaves like a rb greedy noob No tears please, it's a waste of good suffering.

The moral code is to wait for them to pull, kill the healer and watch them all die.
My mind’s made up, don’t confuse me with facts.
