[3:10pm] <myrmidon^> You have to be a c*** to be awesome at daoc
[3:10pm] <myrmidon^> that's what I learnt
[3:11pm] <Frosty_> then why does austerim suck
lordgriffon wrote:Oh by the way... ever seen a group of 8 smite clerics? Or play against a group like that? I have. Absolute devastation. The group that runs up against them can't kill them fast enough because smite clerics have sooooooo many tools at their disposal combined with decent ranged damage with 8 of them dudes doing it!

let's at least put it up for a vote. I'd have trouble believing more than 20% of players want it to stay as it is currently.

Good thing, more of an incentive to make people do endgame RvR instead of rolling twink over twink for Bgs as they have done on uth 1.0

How's all that end game RvR working out for you with a max pop of 300 guys?

Fix this and the population problem fixes itself. People leave the BGs when they're ready. The way BGs are set up now they may as well not be in the game.

Just do a /who thid right now and I could almost promise it's no one. Not a single Damn person

Not to mention how good gearing up twinks for the BGs is for the games economy

If no one is going to BGs to see how much fun PVP is, there's no way someone is finishing the grind to 50 and then going to emain, only to get stomped because they didn't get any practice facing other players.

And part of fixing the BG's is bringing back Brae, Aber, and Thid the way they were on Uth 1.0, and possibly leaving in the lvl 10-20, and 20-30 BGs.

This is a topic that should be up for vote. It has a big effect on any 1 person's enjoyment of the game. Looking at this thread you'd think most would be in favor of the change, but I think what's really going on is everyone else gave up because they know the UnmovingRock that is a custom rule on Uthgard.

I know back when i played on uth 1.0 and was just starting DAoC I never would have made it to lvl 50 without seeing how fun and active Braemar was.
