Just curious. I know most will say it's not good to solo as a caster, but of the ones out there, which would be best suited for solo?

Some I'd guess:

SM = lifetap, intercepting pet, aoe mez, root
Sorc = lifetap, speed, pet, aoe mez, root, rr5
Theurg = speed, pet spam, aoe mez, root
Cab = lifetap, NS, disease, pet, root
Eld = aoe mez, big dd, stun, disease, NS
BD = 4 sec lifetap insta, root

Which would you say is best? Would be nice to also have the option for 8v8 but not super necessary. Thanks

i wouls say, that it depends hardly on your enemy... vs meelestuff//stealther is the SM one of the strongest to beat, cause of the intercept of the pet.

vs other caster something with NS... maybe cabby

when running unbuffed then only solo-caster i can imagine is SM...otherwise you are dead as soon as any assassin lands PA in you..with SM you might be lucky for the pet to intercept it

with high rr cab or sorc might survive without buffs too, due to moc3 + pd5, but can't really tell

as for fighting visibles:

pet-classes > non-petclasses...just send you pet for the enemy...when he attacks it: turn and nuke or dot or whatever...

vs casters: bd...though i haven't fought a BD solo since pet-buffs were fixed...maybe my caby will now live long enough so my pet can kill the bd while he insta-taps me ...otherwise caby should win most caster-duels, due to ns + pet...

in general i guess caby is best solo-caster

theu, when Ronia was playing his theu solo he was doing so well, i remember him kitting Comet + Tofu XD, was so hard for them to kill him, i cant even remember if they finally did it or not.

1st bd (lifetap every 4s and 1500 range) with high pd rly nice for solo
2nd sm cause of OP pet that take mostly every hit (intercept)
3 Theurg (Wind spec) nice stup pets and aoe mezz
4 Caba (trispec) with stun pet or disease but rly hard to play atm
5 Animist (any spec) use aoe spell in verdant to pop stealthers if u know they are around, also demezz pets if somebody mezz them, it's hard to play ani but possible and it's rly funny .
6 Sorc aoe mezz,single mezz,roots and speed makes him quiet good char but hard with stealthers around
7 Menta (light spec) with pet is quiet good and heals, he got mezz and stun whats make him quiet good class but without speed
8 Eld (light spec) aoe mezz,stun,disease,snare spells makes him good only in grp for solo it's mostly rly hard or even inposible with stealthers
9 Runemaster good for grp for solo is hard cause only root and snare spells are posible to keep in range your targets
10 Enchanter stun,heal pet,dmg pet,debuffs give him low chance to solo in rvr but more chance for grp in caster setup and raids
11 Wizard imo worst and nolove char caster in uthgard, good for keep def and raids only

Yes, and in the best case scenario you simply cast focus shield and your enemy will kill himself !

Seriously though, i think sorc or cabalist are pretty strong. Especially since the cabba has a desease spamming pet.

I can only answer with how I have faired against these classes on my ranger/hunter.

SM= VERY VERY tough if played well. With intercept pet they are tough as hell to wear down before the lifetap you down. AoE spammable is HUGE for them. Prevents lil things like PA's.
Sorc=Tough class with pet able to help interupt ranged attacks and buy you time to kite. Has nice utility and also does well in a group.
Theurg=Very good solo and even better group. The only downside to a theurg is that if the class you are fighting has a pet they can keep you interupted pretty easy.
Caba=Tough solo class if played well. They are weak to assasins since they dont really have a way to prevent the perf.
Eld= honestly couldnt say. I dont know if I have ever fought a solo eld. Could be good, but cant say for sure.
BD= They have the 4 sec insta cast lifetap, they have a great RR5 to get some distance and confuse the enemy. I've seen a couple good solo BD's but only a few that play it properly. If you make one of these ask Zai what he does. He would destroy my ranger who was about 9L+ vs his 5L+ BD.

Overall I would say SM and BD are the 2 best solo classes, followed very closely by Sorc/Cabby. Any other caster can work just fine, but like most classes in this game you will be good against some and weak against many others. I would say the biggest attribute a solo caster can have is a spammable AoE effect that can destealth assasins moving in for the perf. If you can prevent a perf then any caster can kill an assasin if played well and templated well.

If bd has pets i would say BD, but isnt livelike
