So i resubbed to live, and realize my toons there are just to far behind, and i heard of uthgard and for me it just sounded all around better with the old frontiers ect. So ive come to uthgard, i leveled a paladin(in hopes of being needed for rvr) and realize everything in emain is guild groups, and if you form a pug your probably going to feed RPs to one of these groups. And most of these groups have a very set 8, with backups.

So the best option is to create your own 8. I have tons of experience, always ran in 8 guilds before never really pugged so if your interested PM Ozean in game on alb side. Please be experienced and know what your doing. I can play at any times but really just want a group for prime times, with a set schedule.

If i get one going its probably going to be miserable in the beginning especially if were all low ranked, but it takes time for these things to work. Im sure most of the guilds on uthgard been playing with eachother for years. So its not an overnight deal.

I see tons of pugs on Mid that work just fine. As long as everyone knows their role then you should be good. Are you NA time zone? Mid has a few NA guilds, I know Alb has BTL. We need to get some battles organized its been impossible to find people late nights.

the only problem is, that people dont respec 8v8s ... so ur standard grp will be farmed by mid zergs in the evening.

Yea im NA, i know some pugs do ok, but i still really want something set in stone then standing around online for hours hoping to get the right people together

yeah not getting 4L2 was such a bad idea, but thid action fluctuates so sporadically, i couldnt take waiting around for hours and it seems i made it worse on myself

Leaving or not leaving Thid early is a question which bothers me for some days now.

With my minst Thid was a breeze...
Good group running? Nice....
Bad groups running? Nice, I stealth solo.

With reaver Thid sucks - it is very rare you get good groups, and then maybe there is no action... or I suck and get insta kicked^^

Soloing is nice, but only very late night or early morning.

I dont now which RAs you wish to have before going Emain - maybe some keep takes will do it to get needed RPS - and there you get to know lots of randoms, of which some will be very decent players. If you havent put together your temp, maybe do some DF Raids - with occasional inc, you earn some rps, too.

On the other hand... good luck finding your own set group - will be the best option!

Ozeans RR 3L5 would translate to det 4 and maybe lw1/2 - doesnt sound to bad for some emain experience.

Getting RR 4L2 would not get him det 5 (whether this is specced or not) - got no clue about 8v8

Yes...it's a shame about thid action, especially if you play a class without speed or stealth. Can do most of the same things at 49 though you can do at 50 like take keeps etc.

I have been trying to help organize fair number of players in thid for NA times but it seems like not many people are interested in doing this

That's a no-brainer, really.
What makes you think, it would be easier in Emain? There you will just have to deal with tougher enemies, whilst still having difficulties getting grouped because everything is a little less random. And being RR3 most certainly won't make it any easier.

Actually you can do some keep raiding and keep tasks to reach 4L2, even below level 50.

You can do that with 49 just as well. No reason to cap out of Thid for it.

- nobody said I want to go Emain with Reaver
- a way bigger player pool for emain - as more guys are 50 than 48-49
- it was not hard to get into PUGs with my Minst - its not like those PUG rocks em all, sure they get farmed by set grps, but it is still some fun when group plays well even when loosing - in Thid most groups are an utterly fail
- my guild is running RVR groups at very least 3 times a week - though, at prime time, which doesnt fit me well
- I dont know why everybody is totally obsessed with going emain with 4L2 - as a det tank, you get det 4 with 3L0 - if you do not constantly respec ra, 4L2 is still det 4
- there is still the option for keepraiding (which looks like pve grind to me) or having some fun in df or going small men odins or zerg or whatever


Thid can really suck, or Thid can be fun like the rare days, with guild grp where we constantly farmed midzerg with our grp and made like 30-40k or the few occasions, where solo is fun with 10k in 15 minutes. All in all I think getting 4L2 or higher is less tedious as Level 50, maybe fastest though if you combine some keep raids, thid and df action.

Its also a pain to cide every other day in order to not xp out of thid and also as a Reaver its no fun to see all those sh, dr, df and gk raids, for which only lvl 50 Reavers are taken along - ok, it doesnt bother me too much, as I got my temp already.
