So, i'd like to know what GMs NEW rules are for X-Realming. My friend got banned prevently before he logged into another realm. So its ok when people logg into your realm but not if they logg back? He played nearly 2 hours in the one realm and made RPs and then he just wanted to logg off with a longer break, according to Server regulations.
He just told the people: Nice, a fg...see you in 20 minutes... not more and he tried to logg back his acc and was banned for 10 days. I know enough people who do real realmspy /who agramon, logg back and kill our levelers or whatever. You should do clear rules for your Server, just for the sentence ...See you in 20 minutes... its not fair to ban him for 10 days. After that he wasnt logged in nowhere, tried to get back into the Charmenue and then he got directly the ban. Think its fair? Or Realmspy? I think no... Regards. |

Please don't critize the staff in the uthgard forum. Staff feels annoyed of something like this and the way to change critizism on forum is to forbid it. That's solving problems on snipping their roots!
And to the rules: They are written down if you click on the left side, of cause you are right that not all the rules are there, some you have to read in some posts. The ease ones are written in announcements, the more hard ones in normal posts and the very hard to find rules are written between the lines on irc chats and posts on the forum. But please never say the staff doesn't play on his own rules: Staff is unreachable power! Like the judge in the proceß ![]() Duke |

It is more effective to talk to the staff personal than to write a pamphlet in forum.
@Duke: funny that you talk for the staff duke, i didn't recognize the day you joined us. Maybe you would like me to talk for your impertinent and insulting behaviour? Stick yourself together and accept the way it works or give constructive critism in an adequate form. |

First of all, I am saying this what I said before since months to the staff, the rules are absolutly intransparent. I don't talk for the staff... this meantioned to be understood in a diffrent way (not very friendly as you detected ![]() The constructive way as I said before was done more than often for you once again: Make the rules transparent for everyone, so that they can be followed by everyone (please). People became banned for doing something the rules do not forbid but may be unmorally. If there is a grey zone like in this case it's normal that people go to complain. Accept the way it is is always the wrong way - we (the community for over a few years) try to influence the staffs descicions, but sometimes (not pointed at one special thing now) the staff doesn't like this. This is ok and you don't need no censorship now, because this could make uthgard less attractive for new gamers. I believe that a community beeing in contact with the staff is the best advertesing for a freeshard. Sorry if the post above was insulting for you, sometimes I have to write this down because I get frustrated telling the same thing everytime and nothing changes. I think you understand that you make yourself a favor if your community is clear about all the rules (I think you see it like me too because everyone has to accept the rules before he plays). Thanks for reading Duke |

I made my point clear and wont start a quote war with you. Be constructive in your critism. To be upset how the staff copes with an issue is no reason to write such posts.

@ Duke
100 % agree |

And that's the root of the problem on this server. |
|
- The fact that nobody directly or indirectly involved in a juristic case may - in any way - judge this case, is approved in every fair jurisdiction of the world.
- Given this fact, no decision-making staff members should ever play on their own server. They are affected by their own opinion. To be able to reflect the community nevertheless, it would be best to have a council of players, not voted by the staff but by the community. Another, most probably (or do we get any evidences such as logs?), wrong decision. Btw, InBeforeTheLock - as you're not allowed (agree with Duke) to criticize the staff, this topic will be locked soon. Regards, Ozerdin |

i already told duke that it is not about what you criticize but how you do. dukes post sailed close to the wind.
the staff is no elected delegation of the players and we (to say it again and again) do this voluntary. So if you want the spare time of the few active staff members be "wasted" with long discussions about every ban topic with a voted council you may never have expierenced the bureaucracy (e.g. the judge system) of your country and how it cripples the progress of things of more importance. believe it or not, the staff tries to judge every person equally. |

First of all, as the others above have mentioned, if you have a problem with a staff decision, please directly contact me instead of starting a flamewar. By starting threads like these the only thing you achieve is bad blood.
I'm really wondering how he could know that he was banned within 5 minutes (it must have been even shorter, because he already talked to me after 5 minutes) when he did not try to log in.
Well in fact, we have a clear rule for this.
There is no difference between logging in just to check and playing for a couple of hours, then checking the situation and then logging off. You know exactly what I'm talking about and if you really want to tell me that he always waits a couple of minutes before logging: This must be a very bad joke! Do you know how often i have checked the connection/login log? The only difference in this case was that this time i caught him. And even if you don't accept rule §2.4, maybe you should read the following rules:
Telling the enemies that you are relogging to see them in 20 minutes also violates these 2 rules. Maybe you should think about this in the future before starting more witch hunts. /closed |
