How does that fight go down?

Depends on the setup of this theoritical engagement.

If the 3 groups meet head-on (after a hill or something that would negate line of sight on all parties for the initial inc.), then the mids (melee wreck-train) and albs (SoS = they keep speed in fight and kite away+pick targets if casters / or push into support if more tank oriented) would be favoured vs the hibs. And im almost confident the albs would win in this rvrvr engagement because yes, SoS *IS* that strong.

Now, if they meet in the thunderdome of emain macha and they all have plenty of linesight, then id say the hibs would have the upper hand and would most likely NS enemy support and assist-nuke the overextended tanks/minstrels/whatever enroaching up to them to push/interrupt. Most likely the mids and albs would engage in a melee and the hibs will pick their targets and boom boom dead.

This is all theorycrafting however and there are many variables to take under consideration. As Pweet more or less said, we are all here to find out answers to questions such as this one :)

I agree with your assessment. But it seems your conclusion contradicts your points: You propose what likely will happen, yet say no one knows. Of course no one can say with 100% certainty what will happen every battle (that goes with everything), but when the factors are summed, one can say which party will have the advantage. Whether they exploit that fully is unknowable. We certainly can identify the inherent advantages, though.

In Uth 2.0 beta, my view on state of rvr was:

Low RR favors Mid. (i-stun/i-mezz/cele)

High RR favors Hib. (grp-Purge)

Really well played/coordinated groups favors Alb (SoS, Setups i dont wanna see more of so i dont call them out^^)

I don't agree with Mid low rr, once every melee char gets det its gg.

Alb grps bascially dominated during beta, but they dont have the best cleric in the game(me) rolling with them this time around, so it will be tough to say who the top dog is.

it's actually pretty simple if you take skill out of it and assume that all ra's are up: Mid > Hib \ Hib > Alb \ Alb > Mid
