I try my best when i have a chance to @Raifs.
Counted 500 pulses & resist from an old video to give more data @2489 for example.
Playing the vid at 10% speed :p

Isn't that painful love ? ^^

Well anyway, the creator of the post asked if everything was okay with pet, i answered with the truth.
Hopefully, before launch, some of them will be fixed.
But for now, if you don't want any bug, roll a zerker, not a class with pet.

@Genjiro i got that from Alexcoupersonyque himself, post from 2006 :

Those are the levels of instrument & pet to be safe with the charm ( no need to spam, the charm will hold except when unlucky combo resist).
Au level 50 + 0 en instruments [ 1L ] --> Level 54
Au level 50 + 2 en instruments [ 1L ] --> Level 55
Au level 50 + 5 en instruments [ 1L ] --> Level 56
Au level 50 + 8 en instruments [ 1L ] --> Level 57
Au level 50 + 11 en instruments [ 1L ] --> Level 58
Au level 50 + 14 en instruments [4L] --> Level 59
Au level 50 + 17 en instruments [ 7L ]--> Level 60
Au level 50 + 20 en instruments [ 10L ] --> Level 61
Au level 50 + 23 en instruments[ 13L ] --> Level 62

We can see with this "safe points" than every +3 level in instrument, you gain +1 level of the pet as easily/safely charmable.

He then explains than you can charm bigger than those "safe points" The bigger it is, the more resists you'll get obviously, But even 90% resist can still be playable if you know your spam/twist perfectly. He went himself to the point of 50+20 = charm 85 mob with 99% resists. But that's at your own risk, and it need heavy perma spam for this extreme charm to hold.

I will try to compare those "safe points" with Uthgard and post comment in the issue.
Unfortunately, he did not detail for low level minstrel (like 30 or 40).

Thank you for the the feedback.
I am also trying to figure out how charm works.

Please keep in mind that in code there is no if(skill == 51) { charmSafePointLevel = 55; } elseif (skill == 55) { charmSafePointLevel = 56; }.
It always comes down to calculating a resist chance% based on player level, skill and mob level.

Like on Live you have an 54,33% chance at level 50 with skill 59 that you charm will be resisted by a level 59 monster.
But Live changed some time ago to only charm up to red con mobs... Still trying to figure out if they changed the resist chance calculation as well or if it is only a new cap level they introduced.

That's what it makes difficult to research, validate and fix.

There seems to be an issue at least with casting pet spell resists. I tested it with an enchanter. The underhill companion was about a 50% resist rate for a 44 level pet vs a 50 mob.

The zealot was a little better with about a 35% resist rate. There seems to be something bugged with the effective spell level from a summoned pet. Not sure if any cabalists have checked this issue or not.

There is also the annoying "creep forward" bug for casting pets. The pet will not stand still and cast. It will move towards the target between casts.

All that being said, given the stingy drop rate, pet classes are a good choice to start with as they offer much easier leveling and are not as gear dependent as other classes. Just stick with melee pets.
