Haven't paid much attention to this up until now, just asking for some clarification on the current system in place.
Do roots generate snare immunity? Casted snare = physical+caster snare immunity? I know that physical snares don't generate snare immunity and can be spammed willy nilly. Just wanting some clarification on how everything interacts, and if it is accurate. Hib - Falken (BM) / Sneakster (NS) / Kalfen (Enchanter) - Currently Inactive

If you have a root immunity you are immune to melee snares

In beta we tested this using a RM. I cast the spell Rune of Mazing, which is the lvl 50 DD snare nuke in the RM suppression line. We found out that the snare nuke DO NOT affect snare immunity and the target could still be melee snared via Conquer(hammer spec snare). If I cast a root on the target, the root immunity WOULD affect the ability to snare and the target COULD NOT be snared while having the root immunity. As I said tho, we only tested with RM and a Warrior. I cannot say for sure it's the same for other classes/realms but I imagine it is. Hope this helps!

There was an issue at one point saying it should snare even immune targets, not sure if fixed/valid

it should be, yes. gues all ra's and pet snares are not affected by root immunity, atleast i can't think of one that does. |
