Hey,

Haven't made any toons yet, was thinking of NS or Ranger, i will Solo 99% of the time. Wondered what people would suggest might be better solo? I always preferred NS but i am guessing it will take ages to level up?

Also do people post templates? I took a look on the class boards and couldn't find anything.

NS should be much faster with xp than a melee-Ranger. I had a lev50-Melee-Ranger on Uth1.0 and it was a PAIN to level up. All you have is evade2.

If you go full-bow-ranger you will xp much faster...but you will be eaten by every assassine then.

Solo-RvR: Nightshade because the old MOS for Archer-Classes will be a really bad thing. Every Assassine with SEE-HIDDEN-Realmskill will see all Minstrels/Ranger/Hunter/scout on a very long distance. The Minstrel/Ranger/Hunter/scout will see ansolutly NOTHING and eat every PA+Followup

The only way to play a stealth-minstrel or an archer-class in RvR is to group up with more friends. On Genesis we had a lot of fun with 8-alb-stealther-group at AMG or MMG.

Ranger was at all times (that I can recall) strongest as a hybrid melee/ranged class.
NS will be nice in 1.65 setting, but don't under-estimate Ranger, with RF and self buffs you will be fine.

And don't forget true sight, which will allow you to see any stealther on clipping range (on a 30min timer).

Uthgard 1.0: <Die Lettanten> Ivia - 8L8 Nightshade - Lone Enforcer since 8L1.
Uthgard 2.0: <Illuminated Stormriders> Oxy - Hero; Ivia - Nightshade.

Ranger without Purge & IP up is dead against any assassine :( That see-hidden against a blind stealther is too strong. Thats why mythic gave the MOS-RA to the archer-classes.

I loved to play my ranger too...but with old-ra's and 1.65 i would not like to play this class solo in RvR. Your selfbuffs cant help if you get pa-ed + follow-up. You will be nearly dead after you get out of stun :(

If you get PA'd by an assassin then, yes, your chances should be low.
If an assassin who PAs you, that is, when everything starts in the assasins favor and he still has a good chance of losing, then there would not be any reason to play one. :D

If your camouflage timer is down, you probably already killed one (or at least had chance to ^^), if it is up, see hidden will not help.

Moreover, not everybody out there (not even every solo) is an assassin.
