A lot of things can be done on a DAoC Freeshard.. like those you pointed out.

But, here on Uthgard, those things are too much "outside the box", since there are even some troubles on deciding if keep teleporters timer at 15 mins (or so, like it was on live) or lower it.. and this is almost an insignificant thing.. Don't even think about implement all those changes you wrote in this topic hehe ;)

In the past i also tried to write a server structure made by all pvp zones (no safe zones) and made some concepts about custom classes (or deviations from existant ones like Necros that during that time wasnt implemented at all on DOL emulator).. and for who like to "think/create" game concepts is hell of fun! ^^ :)

But, on the other side, you have to be able to spend a lot of hours on coding behind those ideas, and most of all you have to know how to code in C# (C sharp) in order to touch the daoc emulator and make your ideas come true.
Also the code of DOL (Dawn of Light) is a bit scattared, and not fully implemented yet, so you are forced to touch deeper in the core (and risk to break something else easly) and not only by "adding/editing simple scripts".
This is the main issue between plan a server and realize it.

Or might find someone that has the coding skills and join your team of course.. Good luck! :o
There was a time when Uthgard 1.0 existed and maaaany toons and arrpees arose... but now:
