I think that would be key. It gives realms (especially Alb) a huge boost to keeping all of their own keeps to avoid certain chokepoints. It also allows for Hibs to avoid HR campers. I like

Agreed then. The homogenized maps and keeps are what I hate about NF. If each realm could keep its unique cultural identity and still have some of the other features of NF, this may not be so bad. Okay, my fear is gone now, carry on. (Turns back to into stone) |

Would be fun if we would be able to modify keep models a bit and reintroduce boiling oil. I liked it.

Keep Porting Idea:
Since the single keeps in the primary zones don't actually have any influence on the porting, even though they are probably the most contested keeps, it could be nice to have the posession of these keeps influence port timers when the timer is not already on low-population mode. For instance the porting time gets reduced by 2 minutes when holding your own primary keep, however, when it's in enemy hands, the port timer will be regular. Just throwing this out there, I realised the primary keeps are kind of left out of the equasion with the current layout of the porting system. In defense of truth-to-experience.

Old Frontier keeps lack: line of sight, incentive, importance. All of these "lacking" pieces bring undesirability to take and maintain them.
I'd prefer the NF system any day, but that will never happen. Although I'm usually heavily against any customization, I believe this field could use some improvement. Following NF's RvR Keep concepts ought to provide a nice guideline. Keeps serve as a nice arena, especially toward the casual crowd as they prefer the Battleground scene (Where most fights are emphasized at a keep, and numbers are a major factor). Perhaps I could type up a system-suggestion later --- but I'd rather the staff not deviate from their current progress on more important non-custom features first.
