One other aspect are there may be more fights as a Thane than a Reaver? Other classes I'm interested in are: PD5 BD MOC3 SM Hunter Shaman all for solo pvp, but its nice that reaver and bd have possibility of being in grps too. I'd love to make a solo caster, but everyone says they are terrible on this server for 1v1 and soloing, so...

The fact is that they are both very good solo classes and both have their advantages and disadvantages. Champion/Thane/VW/Reaver/Merc are all very tough solo visi classes. Each are going to be very expensive to template and all of them have their up's and down's associated with them. If you are really torn between Thane and Reaver then I would recommend making one of each and lvl'ing them both. By the time you get to lvl 20 pick the realm you like best as opposed to the toon you like best. Edit: The reason I say pick the realm you like best is because anyone could make a valid argument for either class, the deciding factor will be who you play that character with. That is what makes all the difference. If you have a couple buddies you can run around with it makes all the difference in the long term of this game. When I say "run around with" I don't mean always grouping with them, but rather people you just chat with a lot even though you might not even be grouped with them, or in TS with them. Thane? Reaver? Makes no difference, its who you play with that matters.

Was told that Thanes would have more fights than Reavers would in Emain. Heard a lot of Reavers out there. Still torn, and now through a solo shaman into the mix, but have been told not to do the Shaman route. Thanks for the answers!

I even respecced at 40 to not waste a respec stone. Was no problem. Nowadays with sh xp raids its even easier. If my purge is ready, reavers are victims they make crap dmg without there backstyle. You can camp also better inside a keep with your casts I got also a reaver but I have to say its more fun with thane. They stunfield which can be used by the thane to kill the slam immu is also tooly. The rr5 ra is also nice

Exactly like vanilla, drop rates/xp rates, basically everything and you will not be able to please them unless it is exactly like vanilla. These people have their nostalgia goggles on so tight it's cutting off the bloodflow to their brain and they believe that vanilla was perfect and nothing was wrong with it.

And then once you get the 4 hit flex chain, oof!
