The run to Emain probably doesn't help.
[3:10pm] <myrmidon^> You have to be a c*** to be awesome at daoc [3:10pm] <myrmidon^> that's what I learnt [3:11pm] <Frosty_> then why does austerim suck lordgriffon wrote:Oh by the way... ever seen a group of 8 smite clerics? Or play against a group like that? I have. Absolute devastation. The group that runs up against them can't kill them fast enough because smite clerics have sooooooo many tools at their disposal combined with decent ranged damage with 8 of them dudes doing it!

You overrate warden in a pug, just because i can keep our grp alive doesnt mean that works in a pug - it doesnt, thats why i dont pug - you need a lot of backup as warden especially in lower RR, or your way too easy to counter and that backup doesnt exist in a pug. Better pick another chargetank or dd - your chances to kill something fast will rise more
RR on a warden is just a gimmick, nice to have but not neccesary. Offtanks are very warden dependant, the extra resists, the bubble and possibly twf/aog translates to more dps from 2 blademasters than 3 would deal without a warden.

Warden is with druid one of the most RR dependant chars we have on hib - or do you think every warden has twf/aog purge mana and dex ras with creation And im still talking about playing warden in a f.ucking PUG not in our grp. In a PUG a third BM, Eld some other sh.it is in 80% of the cases better than a ward. Your basically an RA bot there (which you dont have at lower RR), most of the time standing around cct or nearsighted - or with any sort of pet on ur ass which wont get cct for sure. And if someone needs the resists than the non det/stoi chars in grp and not the offtanks, they can stand the 5 sec longer in a single cc with ease if theres another chargetank who pushes with them. The more dds u have the higher are your chances that u can win even versus a guildgrp when u have the jump.

No way ! (with same skill at least!) Bm have thrust dmg and can just kill a healer within some seconds while bard rupt other one, just think about also flurry, slam (!), and rr5. And if zerks assist on druid just hit rr5 and hope that bms had killed healers in that time ^^ I've made many incs full tank vs full tank pugs where healer just get exploded in before charge go down.. embarassing! Ofc when u start to have a good shaman (as mid) that know how to handle 3 bms (disease, shear, root, kite) you cant think about survive initial burst dmg and start to actual play more than 15 sec ^^
i said same skill/rr You/ your group is obviously doing a lot wrong when vendo mode Zerkers get outburstet by BMs
Belive me or not, i said the truth Mid full melee group doesnt have slam in frontline, and doesnt have good rr5 to survive (both frontline bm if overextend & backline druids with selfstun to avoid startburst damage), and have heals + mezz/rupt mostly on 2 only targets that should be first target for a common pug fight. @And i agree that 3 bm setup can be better for pugs since if u have a bad warden or bad supporters you just play with 7ppl..

a good played bm deals a lot more dmg than a moderate played zerker. Zerker deal not more dmg than a warrior without the backchain (requiem player propose not even to use because of the bleed ). And without slam it is not so easy to perma land the backchain.

Good vs Moderate... In Hib its the Sidechain but yeah not often used coz of bleeding

the dmg from backsnare is quite ok with bm. And bm does not depend as much on styledmg in general as a zerker does. I don't argue that no other single class in daoc deals as much dmg as a zerker in vendo mode with celerity that can perform the backchain... but against good opponents in real rvr this is seldom the case, and without this bm deals at least the same amount of dmg So in paper daoc zerker dmg > all. In real daoc bm dmg = or even > zerker dmg. celertity can change this... but how often a zerker gets celerity in real daoc? Not very often.

First of all, you have absolutely no clue about pug grps, when did you run in a hib pug the last time ? Your ras are ****** compared to the bubble and resists, a warden could be afk stuck to the bard in an 8v8 and would still be better than a 3rd BM.

well... my opinion: you both have NO clue about real pug grps The problem of 1 more bm or a warden are problems... that are so far away from the problems a real pug grp has. There is no plan or setup in pug grps at all. As the name suggests that are grps where you click all the people around you and press invite. Maybe care a bit for speed and some heal and buffs, but thats all. And even this not always. I even like this kind of rvr, as you start without any expectations you can only get surprised in a good way.
