Sorry, I was not doing a very good job monitoring the forums. I understand why Skarz thread was locked as it became nothing but a complete crap fest of everyone throwing around accusations. The question was never answered though and I believe this is a good question.

To those talking about strafing bug abuse and landing positionals that has been discussed and was PROVEN to be livelike by Magicco a long ass time ago. Here is the thread and according to this performing positionals at weird positions is NOT bug abuse. viewtopic.php?f=9&t=24635

Now, on to Skarz original question and a good one. Is using this backwards speed considered bug abuse or not? Its a pretty simple and straightforward question for the GM's. Also, I can do this so upgrading clients does NOTHING to fix this Austerim. Also, it does cause some unfair abilities. Any time you can back up while facing me and do this at the same speed as I can sprinting forward it does cause an unfair advantage. However, that is not the question. The question is this bug abuse or not?

Please refrain from any name calling, accusation throwing, or any other sort of flaming. This is a very valid question and one I believe deserves an answer from the GM's on since I have heard so much about this in the last 2 months.

"Moonwalking" is Live Like as well, there is no difference to strafing.

There is a difference between moonwalking and strafing. They are not the same thing at all pweet. Now they both may be live like, but then that is all that needs to be said. Then as Skarz said, no harm no foul. What I dont like is when people say this guy is bug abusing, blah, blah, but nobody really knows. I never moonwalked on live, but I was able to perform positionals from weird spots due to lag on live. Now I'm not saying you couldnt moonwalk on live, I just never did it. All we need is a simple yes or no from the GM's on whether or not this is considered bug abuse.

I can say that the game never intended for you to move the same speed walking backwards as forwards. How do I know this? Because you move slower when walking backwards. The only way to move the same speed is to manipulate the controls. You want to test this? Walk backwards w/out doing the mouse trick. There ya go. See, you move more slowly then a person moving forward.... :wall: :gaga:

Moonwalk: Unknown if you could do it on live

Strafe: Proven in a previous thread that it is livelike

Also, I really dont care whether its bug abuse or not. I can do it myself so if I dont like it I will just use it as well. However, if it is bug abuse then it needs to be said that it is. On the flip side, if its not bug abuse and you can do this on live then everyone needs to quit QQ'ing about it.

Don't reopen locked threads.

You could moonwalk forever on live. It doesnt work anymore. We'll force the fix son. Until then, staff will monitor the situation. Just remember, you are not in charge bans.
