Keep Attack should be harder

Keep attack should be a micro-event, something important (imho), when you see your realm's keep under attack, everyone go defend it (probably not all but a lot).
Actualy why it isn't the case ? - The time you come, the keep is already claimed by the enemy - The time you set up Siege engines (craft) the keep is destroyed (when you attack) Ideas : - Add back guard - Harder door - A bit better Lord - The possibility to upgrade keep for cheaper price than live - Eventualy give a bit more bonus - Add teleporter to inner keep with a limit of one TP by hour (to prevent a non-stop-defence) I don't say my ideas are good but i think keep claiming have to be a more important thing for realms. But i can understand ppl who will say : fast claiming keep is interesting when you want a fast-rvr, and that give a goal when you are not a lot. So this difficulties could be added only on one main keep who will give a lot more bonus or something like that. It would realy add one more type of rvr. But uthgard have enough players for such rvr ? Have you got an other idea ? or Are you against this general opinion ? and Why ? (no flame plz) [v2] Toxik - Cabalist 50 <Fromage>

In my opinion one matter should be the experiencebonus-system. Keeps should become what they once were, a tactical tool in the realmwar. Nothing more.
One more matter should be the reduction to 2 keeps, turning the HTK again into the old one. The RvR-area is too huge imho. Look at Braemar and Wilton, there we see keepfights that are working. The only problem there is: There's only one keep. Dun Crimthain and Dun Crauchon would be enough. The Keep doors should have many more hitpoints, even the walls should have many many more hitpoints. Fab, keeps on live have bonuses applied
![]() are talking about was there to raid a relic-keep to get the bonus of relics. And again - Emain does not need to be reduced to 2 keeps. Some might love Braemar, but hell...I don't want another zergy battleground and I believe most rvr-active players don't want that, too. The exp bonus is somehow a feature that enables to exp as fast as on live servers (almost), due to missing quests, instances and so on. Just for example - lvl45-50 can be completely done via quests on live! So, to make it possible to exp in Emain, we need the full zone not only the half one making levelgroups just casual RP-cattle on an autodrive. Actually I would suggest to make the RvR zones even bigger. Currently im thinking about a rvr system I will suggest soon. /ontopic I agree, keeps need to be stronger. Keep doors should become upgradable in exchange for gold (pls check out that lord-RP topic). Further hookpoints for guards would be nice. In addition you could buy for example skills for the guards in exchange for gold, or BP. Something like: Give the guard 100BP and he gains the ability to stun and backstyle xD Uthgard for sure has got enough players to do bigger rvr. I like Sethors advice referring to the door upgrades.
But I think fab is right referring to the Bonus System.
Keep depending Boni without any reference to the RvR wouldn't support the RvR situation. When you raid the keeps and get the XP Bonus, most of the player log to level a twink. When you implement keep depending crafting time Boni, they are going to log to craft. In my opinion we need a general xp bonus in the RvR zones for all Realms like a hazard bonus and keep depending boni with refenrence to the RvR, so the keep raiding groups have a reason to raid & stay in Emain. my personal opinion. Bigger RvR Zone with the same number of people = less RvR.
Unless of course everyboy ignores the big zone and just meets at one point, but then you dont need the big zone anyway. |
