[HowTo] Claim keeps or why mids/albs are lazy ´bout this

I admit i´m not a big fan of this keepraidingstuff but well and this is no QQing, just wondering

A closer look on the warmap shows it and besides 1 single keep claimed by a midguild there are nada claimed alb- or midkeeps for days. Hibs always run at least 3 keeps ... but why so? Or am i wrong here...

So what are their reasons not to claim keeps?
Do they wanna avoid getting rvr´d, because unclaimed keeps = not lucrative = less chance of getting into a combat?
Or is their motto or tactic: "we get maximum rps by raiding claimed keeps BUT we´re smartguys and don´t give any to our enemys HAARRRR"
...

We claimed a Keep of Albion today!
In Hibs Keeps are much safer to claim, since there will be deffers/counter attackers all the time. And yes i guess since it is best to not claim ur keep to deff your realm, that will be a big point as well :bored:

well actually Albion was claiming keeps after the others stopped and then we eventually stopped also. But one reason is that some of us that lead the BG's are busy making wizzy's and other toons that are good for keep rvr. Once we are leveled up and ready we will claim more keeps.
I am a big believer in the idea that if everyone claims and upgrades keeps it will be good for all. I salute the hibs for claiming more keeps and I hope you are upgrading them also and not just leaving them at level one like most have been doing recently.

As a NON keepraid fanatic...I have to admit : I am kinda confused `bout that new keepraiding stuff.

If I was an innocent bystander....with no idea how this game works ( <- note the flamebait here ) I`d say : keeps are claimed to make the enemies happy...to help them get easy rps...and NOT to motivate them to fight my group...NOT to have an epic keepfight....just claim so that I wont get flamed when raiding and therefore farming rps.



AM I REALLY THE ONLY ONE? I NEVER heared any enemy cry before...wheter on Uthgard nor on live : OMG that keep is NOT claimed? screw you idiot enemies, my keep is always claimed for you to make you easy share on your well deserved rps...why not returning the favor?


Again devs are trying to motivate ppl to come to RvR and the players? PURE RAID ACTION ! EASY RPSSSSSS ! WE DONT WANA FIGHT ! WE JUST RAID !! HURRAYYYY

some people will complain about anything just to complain.
and your wrong about defending OF keeps.

Plus the fact that 1-2% rps is not a valid incentive to defend a keep you will see all keeps unclaimed, and empty...

Give +1% to rps/exp/golds guild bonus for every each keeplevel if a keep is in your frontier, or 2% if in enemy frontier.. you will see elite guilds with higher level keeps, and there will be a real importance for defending a keep ^^
There was a time when Uthgard 1.0 existed and maaaany toons and arrpees arose... but now:

Mayby if guild owns keep and it raise lvl only guild got rewards like: craft bonus,rps/bps/xp/gold bonus?
Also teleport to guild keep would be very welcome.

Thats a pretty good thought. And no, there are no bonuses like that atm, since you get bonuses for number of keeps and not for claiming them.

In the past week I have helped the Hib's protect Dun NGed from Midgard. It was alot of fun. If you make lvl 10 doors, upgrade the keep to lvl 10, and you actually pay attention and defend the keep it can be alot of fun. I realise that it may not be what everyone considers "fun" but it is a decent time. I dont know if every keep should be claimed and taken to lvl 10 but I would think each realm should have at least one lvl 10 keep to entice players to come and try and make a quick 5k rp's. Also, you would think because of this every realm would have some defenders logged into that keep so when they see it go on fire they can just log in and try and make some rp's defending it.

This all boils down to what the community wants to do with what the GM's give us. The GM's changed this system based on the communitys complaints, now we as the community need to make this most out of this change. Claim your keeps and try and take at least 1 keep in your realm to 10. Then defend that keep. If you do that you will be amazed at the amount of fun you can have. Even at low population hours.
