Only watched No 3 - it's efficient rp making but little bit boring to watch.
I would also put some clips in where you lost - I missed that - don't tell me you can avoid every PA as a Minstrel ![]() Uthgard till 2003!

Ty for the feedback.. I understand the part about wanting to see losses.. the thing is minstrel is basicly such a strong class, so any real losses comes from either zergs or mistakes from myself.. I know it sounds a bit arrogant maybe, but really a minstrel played 100% optimal with all RA's up pretty much can't lose unless you ****** something up.. As for PA's sure, I get hit with a lot of CS openers.. usually I win anyway.. when I lose it's basicly always because SoS + purge is down on the same time, which does not happen often.. I have a lot of respect for assasins like Thyrin, he is one of the few good ones this server has.. He knows and will prolly also agree to the fact, that he can't win if all my stuff is rdy and I don't make mistakes.. on the other hand if I make a mistake and my stuff isn't ready then I don't have a chance ![]() Basicly what it all boils down to is, that I dislike showing fights I lose simply because of obvious (to me) mistakes I make, if I got any fights where I felt like I played good and still lost I would have no problem putting them in.. As a last note, remember these movies are made over a very very short period (2 and 3 released same week of casual play), a lot has happened since.. ALB:

I see .. DDs are really strong here, not saying there are not live-like but thinking about enemies having 2,5k+ hitpoints and minimum 36% body (CL) ressists will really gimp DDs on live.
I watched No 2 now and I have to say it's way better than 3. The 1vsX fights were really interesting and more infights made it a really great one. When I would rate both: No 2: 8/10 No 3: 5/10 Uthgard till 2003!

Well, it would be a better image of what happens in RvR, because more than half of the people dying to you in your vid did make one or more mistakes as well, and those can be seen in the video, too. (Or get their insta-snares resisted 3 times in a row ![]() I agree with you that a minstrel that plays well can't loose a 1v1 fight if all RAs are up (he can always escape). I disagree that he can WIN all fights if he doesn't make a mistake and all RAs are up. I even dare to claim that a minstrel can't win a fight vs. my nightshade if I make no mistakes and I am not too unlucky (like, a snare poison being resisted right after a minstrel purges, stuff like that). That said, I make mistakes quite often. And it's no problem putting such in a video if they are not too ridiculous. “DAOC is not about what you can log. It's about what you can play :> ”

Once again ty, for this little effort your ratings are very high, that is the kind of stuff that makes me want to collect good clips for my next one.. The 3 first ones are just very half assed, some days I just feel like creating a movie, but once I'm at that stage I also become very impatient and just want to finish something as quick as possible.. That results in both Nag 1 and 2 consisting of 3ish hours of RvR each.. and Nag 3 was collected over 3 days of very casual RvR.. All of them has been edited and uploaded in the matter of a few hours, which shows ![]() ALB:

I was going to write a theory craft story about exactly how I can effectively shut down anything you want to do if I have all my stuff rdy.. but since there is so many ways the fight can go, depending on what you chose to use your purge on etc it will just be way too long.. It will be easier just to show you in-game sometime ![]() I simply don't see what part of the fight could give you the chance you need.. SoS will give me the only 10 secs of speed and cancel your chance to CD stun.. after that point I don't see how you want to come back in the fight.. you are basicly forced to waste your purge on my mezz unless you want me to rest out poisons and FA2 to full hp.. I still got MoC1, IP2, FA2 (depending if used or not), purge and a full stun duration after that point.. I don't even think i will need kite beyond that point.. will also save my charge for your vanish just to make sure to get the kill.. All that said, you and Thyrin are probably the best active assasins atm, not saying it's an easy fight.. because if I ****** anything up I will lose.. ALB:

Yeah, it's really hard to say in one line since there are so many possibilities. Assuming I manage to open with PA you either have to use SoS to escape right away or purge after the stun. Otherwise you will be dead before the stun wears off. After that you probably want to get out of melee range, so you will either run away straight (in case you used SoS) or you insta-stun or MoC-mezz me (in case you purged). In case you purged and you didn't use insta-stun i will have probably re-applied snare on you, otherwise i'd probably purge and do that. One way or the other, you will probably have dropped a lot of insta-toys before you start "taking control" over the fight. If i did alright you will be snared, even if you managed to get on range, and that will reduce your DD-kiting to maximum 20 seconds. If you saved purge and managed to get away you will still have to purge after SoS wears off since the snare kicks in then. That way you may start kiting. Then it all depends how it goes. If you are too greedy and try to engage me in melee at some point I will probably evade your first swing and drop you during stun timer. If you keep kiting and I don't see any chance to get you I will use MY escapability RA, that is, vanish. I can guarantee you will not pop me, since i only use it if you are far out of melee range. Now there is two possibilites. You start looking for me, or you just move on. In second case nobody wins. In first case I will jump you after 30 seconds and you have not much left to prevent me from snaring you, DoT will do the rest ![]() Anyways, this is too much "if"s and "in case"es. A lot of your assumptions seem to be that I can't manage to SoS before CD which is very easy..
![]() With a SoS I should be able to mezz you quite easy.. imo your choice only starts from there.. do you purge the mezz or save it for stun ![]() Anyway yeah.. better to just try it ingame someday ![]() ALB:

Str/con debuff can easily be applied later if PA lands, since PA drops more HP and str is not that cruical since you won't melee that much. Bitter issue for NS is that it is not guaranteed both main and offhand swing on 1st strike. Dropping SoS before stun should be pretty easy, attempts to mezz afterwards (without moc) would still leave me instaDD + chargeDD to rupt and get in range that time.
So its either moc mezz, stun+mezz (which I could choose to purge) and/or purging snare to enable kiting. Anyways that sort of "if-if-if" theory is more often than not beaten by user mistakes, RNG (e.g. miss/resist), server performance (range/LOS) or other unpredictable things.
