I can't even complain about resist rate of my green ns, so i don't understand why this is still a topic in forums...

I'm playing mostly casters here and really don't see a resist problem. Imo it's more like you don't recognize if you got 15 non-resisted casts in a row, but you recognize and remeber for sure if you got once 3 resists in a row (which can actually happen in a random system).

Haha.. remember 3 resists? How about remembering 3 resists every battle?

I don't fight oranges because they resist about 65%. I have done this over many tests and my resistance is around 60-65% against an average orange, and around 25% against a yellow.

Strangely enough, I often hit against DF purple mobs more frequently than orange mobs around the classic world.

I think that perhaps the problem is using half-level spells when playing a character that does split spec, like my sorc. I suspect people get less resists on live as perhaps lower level spells are not so heavily penalized.

Regardless, live isn't the goddamn bible. Do we want to have such high resist rates?

This post refers to mobs, but I've not noticed ANY difference between player or mob on my sorc

Yes, i only considered rvr. Against mobs resists might be a bit too high.

Something certainly always seemed off for me.

Somebody just needs to run a test. Find a friend who'll help you test by dueling, or maybe get permission from a staff member to dual log and test it by yourself.

Why am I not going to do it? Well, um, nevermind that.

Oh my... really? There were tests and there's nothing wrong with resist rates between players of the same level. PvE is different due to high level mobs having heightened spell resist chances and the influence of the attacker count on resists. But we've yet to see any proper tests at all. Probably because it's easier to cry and whine and sob and moan and post useless nonsense and repeat what others already said a bazillion times than to actually do something.
