I lol when everyone complains about strafing

Its actually the most skill involved in a 1vs1 fight because it requires the most control over your character in a game that has dreadfully slow and bad 1vs1 mechanics.....stick....style...style...

I guess people are just "purists" who fool themselves into thinking it's not skill when I know 90% of these people complaining about it couldn't do it if they tried.

When do you go out that you meet that you meet constant solo inc on amg?^^

Phew, usually either mornings or late evenings, and even still.. I normally just use realm speed to check if there's too many or whether I can pass before I really head in. ;)
Of course luck is required just as good. I've had a lot of useless runs aswell sadly.

The massive strafing. Using it to get off 1 stun is okay imo. But when you basically don't use anytimers but just spam the side chain. It gets a bit too much.

Well with the skewed blockrates I'm not going to commit suicide by standing still in front of my opponent. That aswell as the fact that I'm not by far specced to rely on my reactionaries and that my only remaining high GR styles are in my sidechain are the reasons why I try to dish out as many of them as possible.

I added it on the video archive

Thanks a lot! ^^

Good to know m8. ^^

Rasta wrote:how come you dont use damage add charges? they stack nicely with tripple wield. maybe get some mp lvl3 short bows crafted for the 11 dps.

also i dont see much parry chainage!

last thing i thought hurricaine/solar flare better than squall on its own because of the def penalty.

I do have the dmg add on my quickbar (2nd bar, first slot), but I rarely use it in 1v1s because it's so damn costly to keep up all those charges. I struggle to keep up my haste and d/q charges already. If I add a dmg add to each fight I'm even worse off.
Of course on the other hand it would make me win more fights so yea, I guess I should use it more often. ^^

I don't use the parry chain either cus I prefer to rely on my sidechain. It's good to get a parry chain off if you can, but for me it doesn't really pay off in the end I think. Especially against stealthers which you have to take down asap.
Same for the taunt style. The hurricane/solar flare might in theory be better, but in practice I can't be bothered to keep so many followups in mind while trying to land sidechains aswell. ;)
Besides, the out of view bug is still so damn annoying it's barely worth using multiple style chains cus most likely you'll miss your followup every once in a while, which is quite devastating for the hurricane/solar flare one.

That's fun to see that's only hibs using this kind of cheat.Never see a reaver doing leviathans or side drains in chain when in front. And only hibs got stun on first hit (or back stun of savage) on something else than shield spec.

Your last comment proofed that you don´t actually run in RvR to often (besides from BGs). I got Levis from the front from every good Reaver there was (sadly there aren´t to many), i got backstunned/sidestunned from Savages from the front often aswell. Hell, even some Skalds and friars manage to get their positional Stun style off often enough.

Because there are too many crap Reavers. Good ones are Dohko, Crushei and Bloodinette and the last two are really good Strafers :)

What recording program do you use? I've wanted to try and record some fights, but all I know of is fraps. The thing is fraps seems to only allow me to record for 30 seconds so any good fights I'm having are cut off. :\

only on uthgard would it be a consideration, on live defensive penalties would only effect flat out miss rate.

I like your movies Zarkor, especially the songs you put into it.

Really enjoyed the last 2 ones.

Keep going!

This kind of videos are one of the last reasons I look into this forum.

The whinecomments are fun to read btw, everyone who complaines about strafing in 1v1 is just to dumb to practise it, or just has 1 hand maybe, who knows.

Let me break a secret for you cheesy guys: This "cheat" is called skill.

I agree, not enough afterevade spam backed up with anytimer moving backwards, that is much more fun to watch not to mention it requires way more skill.

I have never said it wasn't skills. I was just saying it got a bit too much for my taste..

and as I said: Normally I am not anti - strafer.. but at some point you gotta say it is taking it a bit to the extreme...
