The same with my caster class: spiritmaster, mentalist, eldritch..
soloing and without MoFocus is really hard kill a orange/red mob cause too many resists.. but training MoF the resist rate getting really low.

Hum? Dont understand your posting. MoF does help to increase the lvl of a spell below 50. With my lvl49 root i had 4 resist in one fight vs skald.

I was with the same problem using the lvl 44 inst mez, like 2 resist every 3 cast. With focus2 it passed like 1 resist every 5 cast. Maybe it raise the level over 50 in Uthgard.. dunno a coder should check the code.

Hmmmmmm I was wondering whether the resist messages could be altered.

Currently, immunity resists don't overwrite normal resists, so you can cast 2 or 3 spells on someone that say: "XXXXX resisted the spell" and right after you cast another one and get: "XXXXXX can't have that effect again".

It's very misleading if you ask me, but if it's livelike I'll live with it.

Yes, but in melee you have that other message "xxx cant have....". Why not for casts too?

You have it for casts too, but!

if you cast a spell, and it is resisted because of .. well just resisted (wanted to say because of high resist rate but ok :P). Then you just get the usual message: "XXXXX resisted the spell".

The problem is, in this situation there is NO message when the target is immune UNDER that resist because it just got resisted no matter what, by immunity or just a normal resist. This way you can't tell whether he is immune or not untill your spell SHOULD have landed. Then you will recieve the message that he is immune.

I'll add a pic:

As you can see you can get normal resist messages before immunity resist messages, which is what I find a bit misleading.

"The "no resist rate" is 85% + (spell level - enemy level)%/2."
"The spell level in the formula is with Mastery of Focus added and capped at 50"
