Armorcrafting Leveling 1000+

I have my Armorcrafting up to 1011 and now the studded armor I have made to level to this point is all green and grey. What should I be making to level further? My hunch is reinforced studded leather but I want to make sure before investing a lot of money and time. Thanks for the advice in advance.

This also interests me, as I just hit 1000 AC :) If anyone has hints and tips for going to 1100 i would be glad to hear them.

Also :

Does it make more sense to buy the 99% armor for the template or to push 1000-1100 and craft it myself ? I currrently have around 5pp so i am not sure if i should invest them into AC or into the template items directly..
