Hey guys,

I've been playing for a few days and I've decided I want to try a critblade(2hand sb) after reading some live notes.

I forget what version it was, but in it the assassin classes all received the same RR5 ability, remedy, and the former sb and infil RR5s were moved to stealth spec. They also gave NSs some other spells, and buffed 2 handed critical strike damage for shadowblades. Would this 2hand bonus be active on Uthgard?

From what I remember critblades were fairly gimp on live back when I played my infil, and this buff would make me want to try one here.

Thanks in advance.

Is there a thread that shows what class changes are implemented and what aren't then? I searched forever and couldn't find one.

I played live when their "fixes" for stealthers were implemented.

Way to OP for any stealth class, my understanding we will never see them here.

Thank you for that.

Could it be that prior to this fix SBs didn't stand a chance against Infis/NS's and (just guessing) you played one of the two on live and was used to owning SBs, then when the fix came a few SBs owned you horribly because (again, just guessing/speculating) you're just a bad player?

SBs depend on Str to determine the damage they dish out, Infis/NS's on Dex, and the primary stat for any assassin is Dex, meaning they would out-damage the SB by far if it wasn't for LA mechanics. However...assassins get access to the Str/Con debuff poison (which was, in recent patches, made into a WS/Con debuff) which gimps a SB's dmg severely while the Infis and NS's don't have to worry about that. Since this server is classic it's still a Str/Con debuff.

But any Infi/NS will still beat a SB in a fight, even without Str/Con debuff, asuming they're about equal when it comes to gear and RR, because the best racial choice for a SB is Norseman which starts off with only 50 Dex/Qui (deciding evade rates) while Infis can choose Saracen with 80 Dex and 60 Qui base and NS's can choose Luri with 75 Dex/Qui and NS has Diamondback, Infi has Dragonfang (you were given extra spec points to spec that high so don't whine that it's a 50 style) and both these styles are single styles from Evade while a SB would have to pull Comeback and then Frosty Gaze (Uh-oh, chance of failure just doubled! Not even counting that the Inf/NS has a larger chance of evading it anyway)

The only advantage a SB has is the tank HPs which a NS/Infi will bring down so fast it'll make your head spin.

I, for one, (biased as I am) wouldn't mind having this fix implemented.

EDIT: I'd settle for just having Str/Con debuff poisons change to WS/Con BTW.

@danny.

it's not fair cause SB have 2 handed wapon and so have advatange against our poor 2 wapons :'( and you just have to use insta charge dex/q debuff to decrease dramatically our chance to evade and our dammage :'( :'( and if you use 2 wapons you are sure to use your 2 poisons at first hit :'( :'(:'(

so please stop crying, there are not really difference between infi NS or SB... ans anyway who care cause you can't see the others stealthers.

You expect a SB to use 2H in a stealther fight? HAHAHA. That's funny. And you can also use "insta charge dex/q debuff" to dramatically decrease my chance of evading and you also have two weapons meaning you can apply the Str/Con debuff as well, and ultimately I will be the gimpest of us.

Nice try but you fail.

Whatever, you probably got owned one too many times and now you're burned out, sitting at your desk chanting "Kill them! Kill them! Kill them!"

Oh, grow up. If you don't wanna discuss the matter then get out, you don't need to call upon drastic measures just because you lost an argument.
