What clears the ignore list?

as title says, my ignore list is empty, checked when I saw messages from someone that was in it

Your ignore list is in a file, locally.
It can be found in %appdata%/Roaming/Electronic Arts/Dark Age of Camelot/uth2 . Filename = charname-207.ign In there is also the RP filter settings and the setting for the badword filter (which can be toggled ingame with /filter). Albion Forever!

I have to reenter names in the list everytime I login?

No, you should not need to reenter any names. Add them via "/ignore charname" ingame once and it should be fine.
By typing "/ignore" only it should show you all the names on your ignore list. Maybe there is a limit of chars you can ignore, I don't know. Albion Forever!

Strange.
 Empty list - added some random people - removed someone. Works fine. Don't know why it's not working for you. Maybe someone with more insight should take a look into it for your account. Albion Forever!

Would be interesting to know, if they are still being ignored and just not appear on the list or are un/ignored

I noticed because I saw what some1 in my ignorelist was saying, after this I checked the ignore list and was empty
